My First worst year in the university

in #hive-14478211 months ago

Just like yesterday when i gained admission into the university which is the federal university of Agriculture to study an engineering course and due to the fact that i love mathematics in my secondary school, i have the assurance that here won't be any form of problem for me when i eventually start class in the university. Before the real lecture starts, i have been hearing various senior colleagues talking about a certain professor who has always been the course coordinator of mathematics and they always rant about the way that professor is so strict and it is very hard for students to get good grade in that course but to me i didn't believe any bit of it because i believe i am very brilliant from my secondary school days.

so the lecture started and we started attending the class, In each class the professor takes, he will always give out a difficult question as a take-home assignment and the funniest thing about the professor is that he always gives us questions off heart and he was one of the top professor of mathematics in Africa. So it started this way because I believed I didn't have any issue with the professor i always believed in my intelligence and so I hardly studied for his course since I knew mathematics so well then it was close to our test week.

it was a day before the test before I opened the book to even check out the topics which we had been taught but i never gave ear to what the senior colleagues said about the professors and how he do set his question so we went for the test and when i saw the questions they were linked with each other, meaning that the answer which i get in number one will be used to solve the next number and if I miss any, i have failed all the question, I never expected the question to come out like that but for 30 minutes i couldn't do anything then i tried to put down something so it wont look like i didn't write anything.

When the result came out, my first university low mark which was 2 out of 40, I thought i would fail that course and do it again but i didn't make that result affect me in the examination and when all the result came out i was able to scape through fail and i passed that course. Ever since that day, i never underestimate any course no matter how i know it to the fullest.
