Since we started schooling, we have always had our favorite subjects. I started schooling, and I did not develop an interest in any of the subjects we were studying in my kindergarten school. I almost hated all the subjects because our teacher was always wicked on us. He would say education is not as easy as sand on the flow. I will look at this teacher and start to cry in my heart.
I find education or schooling to be a kind of hell to me at the KG. God willing, I made it through his bullying lifestyle to my primary school. Life was smooth for me at the beginning. I am someone who cannot learn for a longer period of time. There was a female teacher who taught us at the basic level, and all the students used to love her. She was friendly and kind to the students.
She made every student realize their potential in the subjects she was teaching. I did not know how she could identify each student's potential by forming mathematics and English groups. I ended up being part of the mathematics group. That was not bad, though, and I was not happy as my friend Titi was not part of my group.
She always used to give us a bunch of mathematics (basic arithmetic questions) to answer as quickly as possible. Oh, what a headache! I was scared of what this teacher could do to me if I didn’t meet her requirements. She left us until Friday, and she organized an inter-student quiz. She selected five students from the mathematics group. Unfortunately for me, I was the first student to be chosen. We held the contest, and I did not perform well or poorly as I emerged in third place.
I was happy and not happy with my performance. I tried to learn hard and solve basic mathematics problems. Our next contest was held, and I emerged as the winner. I was happy and made a lot of friends because I was the champion.
Since then, I have developed a great interest in solving math problems, and I must thank her for building that foundation for me. This is how I developed my interest in solving mathematical problems, and I would love to know how you also developed an interest in that subject. And also, which teacher made you love that subject?
Thank you for reading this post.
