Hello Lifescape Tribe!🤗
This is my very first entry for this week's #colorsoflife theme #Brown.
Last July my husband and I were out doing our early morning walks. While going uphill because our place is on the outskirts of the city and we are surrounded with mountains. We can't help but notice the Paper trees. We were wondering why it's only them among the rest of the trees in our neighborhood that has brown leaves.
We saw one, then two then Wow! Almost all of them turned brown!!
So now it got our attention, the inquisitive me should know what's the
In our city the local name for the paper tree is Tekla. This is one variety of the paper tree plant.
We had to take a closer look because it's uncommon to see their leaves brown and it wasn't just for one or several trees but all of them. You can see the mountains on the other side, they too were brown that even on the other side of the mountains, the farthest side of our barangay they too were all brown, so astonishing for me and my husband really!
We took one leaf, the leaf turned into like a screen. See the photo it became see-through. What happened?! We were bewildered by what we were witnessing.
Upon our examination we found there were black spots on the leaf. Probably a fungus or insects that's been eating up the leaves.
Gladly while writing this post I am looking at the trees on the mountains they are now back to their happy green state. We were really wondering what that was because it's the first time this phenomenon occurred here on the paper trees in our area.
Have you had this experience as well too? Please do tell.
Thanks for reading this far.
Have a great weekend ahead!
I wish to invite @jurich60 to join in the fun as well.
See you on my next post!
