Hello lifescapetribes and hivers, here I am again sharing another important topic for today. This is very important because it's very alarming in our place and nearby. It's about Dengue.

Last few weeks ago there's a Dengue victim from upper Barangay of our Municipality, Barangay Kabulakan, Balingoan Misamis Oriental, a severe Dengue that led into death. And last week another case about Dengue again, still in our Municipality from Barangay Lapinig, Balingoan Misamis Oriental it also a severe Dengue a 4 years old child boy and being confine in ICU and luckily he recovered by God's grace after a week and he is in the recovery room during this time. But what catches my attention was when I open my Facebook account this afternoon I saw in my newsfeed that another child was died from our nearby Municipality next to ours Talisayan Missamis Oriental same case about Dengue. That's why it's very alarming and we should make some prevention and precautions to this problem. And that's the reason why I write this content to give information to everybody not just in our place but around the world because this may happen anytime and anywhere.

Dengue is indeed a serious concern, especially in areas where it is prevalent. It's important for us to take necessary precautions to protect ourselves and our loved ones from this mosquito-borne disease.

Here are some preventive measures we can take:

  1. Eliminate mosquito breeding sites: Mosquitoes that carry the dengue virus breed in stagnant water. Regularly check and remove any stagnant water in and around your home, such as flower pots, discarded containers, and gutters.

2.Use mosquito repellents: Apply mosquito repellent on exposed skin and clothing, especially during peak mosquito activity times like early morning and late afternoon. Look for repellents containing ingredients like DEET, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus.

When I taught English in Vietnam, I got Dengue Fever in 2013. I was in the hospital in Saigon for a week. I had like bumps all over my body. I felt pretty sick.
