I'm the kind of person who's never content with what I already know, I always want to learn and discover new things. Sometimes I'm interested in random things, other times I focus on things related to my current life activities.

Right now, I want to learn how to write Python code because something sparked my interest that I could potentially use it for. Sometimes I wonder if it's too late to start learning and acquiring new knowledge.
Of course, I'm older now, and compared to when I was younger, I have more patience. I think my advantage now is patience because I'm sure I'm more patient than I was when I was younger. Perseverance is probably there too because when I was younger, I used to give up more easily when learning something difficult.
I've learned a lot through self-study. Graphic design, which is my bread and butter now, I learned at home and not in school. I also learned web design through watching YouTube and reading articles.
Unlike studying in school or having an instructor, self-learning is difficult because first, you don't know where to start without a guide. Second, there's no one to explain things to you as you encounter them. Lastly, you have no one to ask if you don't understand something.
In self-learning, you need to create your own plan on how to learn something. You have to research the important topics you need to know and solve problems on your own.
Right now, I'm reading about the Python language. I'll give myself about a week to get a better idea about this coding language, and then I'll make a plan on how to learn it.
Although I know it will be challenging, there's nothing wrong with trying. I'm just not sure if my average brain can absorb this kind of knowledge. If I find it difficult and get tired in the middle of learning, that's okay. For me, it's better to have tried than to just dream and wonder "What if" in the end.
