There are things in our lives that are important, things that we always use, or things that bring us joy. For this week's Colors of Life Challenge, which is yellow, I decided to include these yellow things that are important to me now that I'm a mommy.
Now that I'm a Mom, most of the things I need are often for my baby girl. As much as possible, I really prefer pink things for my baby girl because she's a girl, and maybe I also want her to like the color pink.
But of course, not everything I can buy is pink, and what I've noticed is that most of the toys I buy for my baby are yellow. Her teether is yellow, her rubber duckie is yellow, and her swimming duck is yellow.
I don't know if there are scientific findings about the color yellow related to babies, but if I think about it, maybe yellow is attractive to their eyes.
And isn't it common for babies to put whatever they can hold into their mouths? Maybe it wouldn't be nice for her to get used to only eating pink-colored things because what food is only pink? Strawberry ice cream?
These yellow things are very helpful in my life, especially this teether at this time because my baby is almost 6 months old and she always bites on it.
As for this rubber ducky and swimming duck, they help distract her during bathtime. She enjoys it when it swims in the water.
There are many more toys and things for my baby that are yellow, but these are the ones I chose because I've also grown to like them.
