Hi, wholesome reader!
This post is an entry for the blogging contest with this week's theme, hosted by @lifescape-tribe. I'd also like to give a special mention to @jane911x for inviting me to join this wonderful challenge, as it's my first time participating and writing in this community.
So, I read that this week's theme is the color violet.
To be honest, it took me a while to decide what to write. As far as I know, I’m not that fond of the color. Surprisingly, when I checked my gallery, I realized I am actually quite drawn to it. I hadn't noticed until now.
Magical Hues
I’m a big fan of the sky, especially when it transforms into a magical view. When pink and violet hues appear, I can’t help but capture them every time. I hadn’t realized how many photos I’d saved in my gallery—my little sky collection.
I know sunrises and sunsets happen every day, so why bother taking lots of photos when you see them daily, right? But for me, taking a moment to appreciate the sky makes me more grateful for life. It’s in the little details that we feel more alive.
Color for Passion
When I think of violet, I immediately associate it with passion. While scrolling through my gallery, I realized how much I link the color to my life as a Swiftie. I almost forgot about this—what a shame!
I’m a huge Swiftie, so when events are held in my province, I attend whenever possible. In 2022, when Taylor released Midnights, I joined a listening party organized by a local fan group. Guess what? The theme was blue and violet!
It was the first fan-organized event I attended after the pandemic, and I was so happy that day to see my fellow Swiftie friends.
Purple Haikus
Last but not least, though I mentioned I’m not particularly fond of violet, I just remembered my collection of haikus about purple things. I can’t quite recall why I wrote them, but it’s fascinating to read what I created years ago.
In the end, it's funny how a color I thought I wasn’t fond of has played a significant role in my life. From the beauty of violet skies to the passion I feel as a Swiftie, and even the poetry I’ve written about it, violet has quietly become a meaningful hue for me.
Sometimes, it's the things we overlook that hold the most magic. I’m glad this challenge helped me reflect on that. I invite @ruffatotmeee to write something for this blogging challenge. ☺️
Thank you for reading my post up to this point. I hope you have a great time ahead!
I'll take delight in writing for you again soon.
