First of all, wishing everyone happy new year as we enter year 2025.
It was a good 2024 with me getting to know about Splinterlands thru some twitter promo and then incidentally about the Hive blockchain.
It's been fun filled yet knowledgeable and also with crypto earning couple of weeks for me as I got to know about this blockchain and I would like to continue being part of this and explore it further as I keep playing those Splinterlands battles and also as I write more blogs here on Hive.
My immediate goal is to purchase a spell book as that will enable me to earn extra crypto of the SPS and also will enable me to purchase some cards in order to continue playing the game because, right now, I am restricted to play and lose most of the battles because of my limited cards and I need to buy the cards in order to advance in league and then earn the crypto.
The Social Media Challenge and the other one, Community Engagement Challenge gives me an opportunity to write about the game or some battle and is helping me to earn Crypto in the form of HBD, the Crypto for the Hive blockchain and I am thrilled to announce that, I already earned about $7 from the 3 completed blogs I published so far and I need 3 more HBD in order to pay for the Spell book which can be purchased using the HBD as one of the crypto options available.
So, I would like to share another battle for this week's Social Media Challenge, but believe me, it is very hard to win the battles right now for me because of all level 1 cards I have and players who are playing against me are coming up with few cards which I haven't seen or explored so far, but I would like to buy few of those as I continue to play and blog and earn some Crypto.

The battle as you can see from above screenshot, was from one of the previously shared splinters i.e. water splinter and I used the same summoner too wit Kelya Frendul which is with abilities that it can provide armors to the monsters it brings into the battle and it also increases the speed of the monsters used with it.
Regarding the monsters I used, I have been battling with same set of monsters since quite some time as this is the only winning set of monsters for me right now until I buy and play with more cards.
So, the monsters names are as mentioned here: Diemonshark, Flying Squid, Deeplurker, Captain Fellblade, Merdaali Guardian and Supply Runner.
I now know about the attack types, and also about what each of these monsters do.
The four monsters I used in the beginning, with those running wheel are called as melee attack monsters which can only attack from first and second position unless they have some additional abilities like the second and third and fourth ones have.
The second one, Flying Squid, is with an ability called as reach (that palm structure one) which enables it to attack from second position..
The third one, Deeplurker is with an attack ability called as opportunity, which makes it to attack from any position.
And the fourth one I used, Captain Fellblade is with 2 types of attacks, melee and magic. And one more thing about this is, it is with an ability called sneak which makes it attack from any position and always attacks the last monster on the lineup.
I also understood by now is that, there are monsters which keeps refilling the health of front monster with an ability called tank heal and Merdaali Guardian is with tank heal ability and that is how it keeps refilling the health of Diemonshark.
The last monster is a ranged attack monster means, the one with that arrow on a target. and it always attacks the first monster from enemy.
Wow, there is lot to learn about these summoners, monsters and each of the abilities those have and also about how and and which position we need to use these monsters.
They say we need to build strategy and it's high time I explore more on that with purchase of few new monsters.
Thanks for all those votes on my blogs, many of you have voted to get me that $7 worth HBD by now and I would be happy to get another $3 worth HBD in order to purchase the spell book and I hope I get to do that with the rewards from this blog in a week's time.
