Happy new year to all and i hope you had a nice season end rewards as well.
In this new year, there are many things to do including buying the new proposed splinterlands edition and start saving crypto for that, so i am moving the hbd to the savings every week with whatever the money being earned from blogging other than $2 being spent for wild pass purchase thru dec purchase in hive engine.
For this week's social media challenge, i want to review a rewards card from rebellion edition from death splinter and the card is meriput slinger which is a ranged attack monster with some new ability to reduce the speed of the monster it attacks.
Let's explore the meriput slinger.
Meriput slinger:
As i mentioned, it is a rewards card monster from rebellion edition and is of rare card type and is from death splinter.
It is a ranged attack one and at level 3 which i have, it gives 4 ranged attack and has a new ability called impede which enables it to reduce the speed on the monster it attacks and it keeps continues with every attack, it reduces the speed by -1.

As always, i feel it's better to show how this card performs and here is a battle i am sharing for the same with meriput slinger used and we have other interesting cards s shared below.
Djinn muirat:
As it was a keep your distance ruleset battle in which, only magic and ranged attack monsters are allowed, i used this monster of djinn muirat in front position as it is with armors and is also having weak magic ability to reduce the armors first and then the main health.
Usut:
Usut is a bloodlust monster but it lacks the healing it gets from level 3 and this is another magic monster with health 10 and is having 2 magic attack.
Whistling damon:
Since i used a summoner with bloodlust enabling ability, i used this monster which has bloodlust ability and it is also a snipe attack ranged attack monster which will attack the monsters from second line.
Meriput slinger:
This is the monster i had planned to write about in this blog and this will be more helpful when we want to reduce the speed of the monsters as it is with impede ability to reduce the speed.
Not just of that, it is also a monster with maximum ranged attack among the monsters i used as you can see from the screenshot above with battle screen.
Dhampir stalker:
As the battle only allowed magic and ranged attack monsters, i used couple of another ranged attack monsters including this one.
This is another good ranged attack monster i have and it has true attack ability means it will never miss to attack no matter what the other abilities the monsters have to avoid attack.
Soul strangler:
The remaining mana cost cap was filled by using this 3 cost monster which is with 3 ranged attack for just 3 cost and it was helpful to reduce the health of monsters it attacked.
That is what i wanted to write about meriput slinger and the battle i shared and battle was almost like one sided since the monsters used by enemy were all of low health and didn't take much time to remove those once the front monster used by him was removed.
On the other side, eventhough i lost djinn muirat, the other monsters were saved by the huge health monster of usut.
Splinterlands is a card based Blockchain game and rewards it's users in the form of Crypto Currency viz. DEC for playing the games called as battles.
