In the world of Splinterlands, the rarity of a card is not always synonymous with power on the battlefield, and this also applies to the new Rebellion edition.
While Legendary and Epic cards attract attention because they are the most sought after on the market, also for collection purposes, their real impact is often lower than expected, especially when compared to some Rare or Common cards that, thanks to a lower cost and greater versatility, offer a much better quality/price ratio. The card meta is constantly evolving, and with it, the most effective strategies change as well, proving that chasing the flashiest cards is not always the key to victory.
Warborn Chieftain – Is It Really That Strong?
This mighty Orc truly looks intimidating, wielding a massive axe in his right hand, ready to strike down his enemies...
But is he really that strong on the battlefield?
This Legendary Earth card costs 7 mana and offers 6 Health, 3 Speed, 4 Melee attack, and two abilities: Phase and Dispel, which are great against enemy monsters with magic attacks.
At each upgrade level, it gains a new ability in the following order: Shield, Demoralize, and Stun.
Its current market price is $10—not too high, but also not among the cheapest cards. However, for a Legendary, it ranks quite low.

Battle Strategy
For this match, I built a team primarily focused on magic attacks, choosing Obsidian as my summoner and placing Warborn Chieftain in the Tank position to see how he performs. Behind him, I lined up Goblin Psychic, Jini Guise, Spirit Hoarder, Elanor Bravefoot, and Fungus Fiend.
My opponent, on the other hand, opted for a classic but solid Chaos Legion team, using Thaddius Brood as their summoner and placing Cursed Windeku in the frontline, followed by Carrion Shade, Chaos Agent, Riftwing, Soul Strangler, and Dhampir Stalker.
Experiment Failed!
Warborn Chieftain performed terribly as a Tank, not even surviving until the second round, quickly falling due to Cursed Windeku's Thorns ability. However, I don't think he would have lasted much longer against magic-based enemies either.
His biggest weakness is his very low Health— even at level 4, he only reaches 8 Health, with no Armor or regenerative abilities.
In my opinion, this is a Legendary card that fails in almost every aspect. I own one copy as a collector’s item, but I don't plan on acquiring any more of this monster.

Nel mondo di Splinterlands, la rarità di una carta non è sempre sinonimo di potenza sul campo di battaglia, e questo vale anche per la nuova edizione Rebellion.
Sebbene le Leggendarie e le Epiche attirino l’attenzione perchè quelle più ricercate dal mercato, anche per un motivo di collezionismo, spesso il loro impatto reale può essere inferiore alle aspettative, soprattutto se confrontato con alcune Rare o Comuni che, grazie a un costo più contenuto e a una maggiore versatilità, offrono un rapporto qualità/prezzo nettamente superiore. La collezione di carte evolve continuamente e, con esso, cambiano anche le strategie più efficaci, dimostrando che non sempre inseguire le carte più appariscenti è la chiave per ottenere la vittoria.
Warborn Chieftain: questo possente Orco incute veramente paura, con il suo fisico imponente brandisce un'ascia nella mano destra pronta a colpire gli avversari....
Ma è veramente forte sul campo di battaglia?
Questa carta leggendaria dell'elemento Earth, offre, per il costo di 7 mana, 6 di Health, 3 di Speed, 4 di Melee e 2 abilità Phase e Dispel, che sono ottime contro mostri avversari con attacco magico.
Ad ogni livello di potenziamento ottiene una nuova abilità, che in ordine sono: Shield, Demoralize e Stun.
Il prezzo sul mercato, oggi, è di 10 $, non tantissimo, ma nemmeno una delle carte peggiori, anche se per le Leggendarie è in bassa classifica.

Ho scelto, per questa sfida, una squadra prettamente basata sugli attacchi magici, scegliendo Obsidian come evocatore. e schierando Warborn Chieftain in posizione Tank, proprio per vedere come se la cava, e dietro di lui ho messo Goblin Psychic, Jini Guise, Spirit Hoarder, Elanor Bravefoot e Fungus Fiend.
Il mio avversario, invece, ha scelto una vecchia, ma solida, squadra con tutte carte Chaos Legion, con Thaddius Brood come evocatore, e Cursed Windeku in prima posizione, seguito da*** Carrion Shade***, Chaos Agent, Riftwing, Soul Strangler e Dhampir Stalker.
Esperimento Fallito!
Warborn Chieftain si è comportato molto male in posizione Tank, non resistendo nemmeno al secondo Round, distrutto dall'abilità Thorns di Cursed Windeku , ma non credo che contro carte magiche sarebbe durato molto di più.
Il suo grande punto debole sono i pochissimi punti Health, anche potenziandolo al livello 4, arriva solo a 8, senza Armor o abilità rigenerative.
A mio parere, è una carta Leggendaria bocciata su tutti i fronti, io ne possiedo una copia a livello di collezionismo, ma non credo che prenderò altre carte di questo mostro.
