The new rewards cards are adding more value to the battles and one such card is the olivia the brook which mimics the abilities of the enemy monsters except for some which i will share at a later part.
So, why i got these 2 olivia the brook cards? Because, i just spent some glint to purchase the major loot chests and one of those chests had these olivias with details as shared below.
I purchased 14 major loot chests by spending 14K glint from the shop and one of those chests had these 2 cards and some other cards i got were, luceheim demon, ujurak elder, tokatag conscript, nimbledook explorer and halaran huntress as shared.
Ofcourse, there were few potions as well, but cards obviously will will be of great priority for all of us, right?
The 2 cards of olivia the brook will help me to upgrade the monster to level 2 as my existing card is already close 2 level 2 and one of those 2 cards i got, will be enough to upgrade it to level 2.
The details above confirms what i mentioned about the requirement of 1 card to upgrade it.
This new visualization of cards after upgrade is a nice way to understand what will happen after the upgrade and it clearly says, after upgrade, the olivia monster will get mimic ability along with the existing opportunity ability.
Olivia being a dual attack monster with melee and magic attack it has, with mimic, it is going to grab one ability from a random enemy monster from round 2 and above.
So, it will be a wise decision to use a taunt ability monster to preserve olivia in the battle for more time as it is with less health and will be an easy target for opportunity ability monsters used by enemy.
The upgraded olivia is in above picture and it is with mimic ability to gain a random ability from enemy monsters, but, there are some exceptions to what it can grab as shown in below picture with description for mimic ability.
So, it can't mimic debilitations, targeting abilities, ambush, weapons training, flank, reach, charge and taunt abilities, except that, all other abilities can be mimicked including the most useful immunity ability.
It can mimic thorns, healing, tank healing, stun, poison, silence and many more abilities!!
With that, i straightaway wanted to use it in a battle and check how it performs and i am sharing the battle screen and link to the battle below just if someone wants to verify it.
The battle was with equal opportunity ruleset including enrage ability. So, it was wise to use a taunt ability monster in iziar and i placed olivia the brook and gladius monster captain katie adjacent to it and utilize the weapons training ability.

The battle was just for 3 rounds and at the beginning of round 2, olivia gained protect ability as shared below and that was from enemy's monster of ferox defender which had this protect ability to provide armors to all the friendly monsters.
The battle continued beyond level 2 and by beginning of level 3, olivia gained stun ability from other monster used by enemy which is septic slime and stun was grabbed from it!!!
Wow!!! i am going to use this monster more and more from now onwards as it is going to be a game change for me and i am sure i can win more battle with it.
As someone said, better late than never, i actually got the olivia upgraded to have that mimic ability before the card print is done and i am happy for that :)
I am not sure whether any other monster will have this ability in future, but, most probably, some other monster might get this ability from the new proposed card set planned to be released sometime in first or second quarter of 2025, but, this is going to be one rare ability and happy that i now have access to it.
I can now boast it off and i am 100% sure that i will share some more battles with this new monster in the weeks to come for the social media challenges :)
Looking forward to more fun using this rare ability monster and i am going to warn my friends about this ability when they battle me next time and i will warn them to be wary of the olivia i got!!!
