Today is the day to increase my collection of Gladiator Cards in Splinterlands since I got some merits in the last Brawl and I was also lucky (or unlucky) to get a lot of merits in the Loot Chests, so I have enough merits to open 15 Gladius Cases and with that amount I will earn several cards to evolve my collection of Gladiator Cards.
In my last Brawl in the Anti Social Club Guild we managed to get the third position and we earned 6,438 merits and 68.72 SPS. Unfortunately it wasn't the best of our results because some of the members couldn't send their battles since it was Christmas time, so they probably forgot since they were busy celebrating this magical date.
Each Gladius Case costs 2,000 merits so 15 Gladius Cases will cost me 30,000 merits. I also have the option of buying Blood Stones and Power Stones since my guild's store is at level 8, but I don't see much advantage in spending on them now, so I'll leave it for later when I'm only missing legendary cards to evolve and my collection is complete.
Why do I think Blood Stones and Power Stones aren't advantageous now?
The answer to this question is simple. Each Blood Stone costs 55 merits and each Power Stone costs 74 merits, so for just 1 Gladius Case I would need to spend 645 merits, which is almost 1/3 of the value of the Gladius Cases. Since my Gladiator Card collection is still weak, any card I get will be very welcome, which is why I prefer not to use Blood Stones and Power Stones now, especially Power Stones, since it would take me much longer to evolve Gold Foil cards.
After opening the 15 Gladius Cases, I got several cards that I wanted, so they will be a great addition to evolve my collection and now let's see how it is currently after doing this "small" evolution by combining all the cards.
I still have a long journey to get my entire Gladiator Card collection to the maximum level, but I'm opening many Loot Chests per season and also participating regularly in Brawls, so maybe it won't take that long for me to reach my goal and if one day the Gladiator Cards become tradable then I will be even happier for increasing my collection of them.
