The last Brawl of the year came to an end in Splinterlands and my guild's result was not the best because many members did not participate as they were busy traveling or spending time with their families, so only 17 of the 21 spots were filled in the Brawl.
But even with fewer members we still had a decent result with a gain of 66 SPS and 6,129 merits. My guild is Anti Social Club, a level 10 guild that battles in Tier 4 Brawls.
My contribution to this Brawl was 12 points with 4 wins and 5 losses, unfortunately my performance was disappointing because I ended up participating in a Fray from the Silver League and I'm not used to this level of cards since I'm currently playing in the Diamond and Champion Leagues, but it's a good experience since I learn more about battling in this league and thus can more easily participate in Silver League Tournaments.
My guild came in sixth place and we still had this SPS gain, so Tier 4 Brawls are still very profitable and a great extra SPS income for my pocket, but it gets even better when all members are participating since we manage to stay in the top 3 most of the time and the average SPS we earn per Brawl becomes 80 SPS.
With these merits plus the merits I earned by opening Loot Chests recently, I have enough merits to buy 10 Gladius Cases and evolve my gladiator cards one last time before 2025 arrives.
10 Gladius Cases cost 20,000 merits and each Gladius Case gives 5 cards, with 1 of them being at least rare rarity.
I didn't get any legendary cards but I was lucky enough to get some great cards, especially Katrelba Gobson since I'm now close to evolving her to level 4 which is one of the levels where she becomes very powerful and useful even in ranked battles in the Diamond and Champion leagues.
This is my current collection of gladiator cards, she's still weak but I've had a few months to evolve her since I started playing Splinterlands again so it's not a bad progress and I hope to be able to get her to the maximum level or very close to it by the end of 2025. It's going to be a long journey but with my current merit earnings I believe it's possible since I get a large amount of merits by opening several Loot Chests per season and I also earn a good amount of merits by participating in my guild's Brawls. I also aim to get my current Soulbounds card collection to the maximum level before a new Soulbound set is released.
