When I first joined the chain about 7 years ago, I had no idea what kind of content I would write, so I did not know what to include in my profile bio so I put poetry, but after 3 to 4 years, I realized that was not me anymore; I had written things that were not even close to what was in my bio.
I had epiphanies, I visited restaurants, did food reviews, market reviews, interviews with major Hive users, and I began creating picture and video content.
In fact, I recall making this outrageous post in 2021; I was filming a video of how my day went and needed to shoot in the bathroom, so I did.
I have done some outrageous things in the past, shared a lot of personal information that I probably should not have, and all of this to challenge my creative instincts.
I attended Hive meetups and realized that BIO did not cover the range of things I created, so I decided to broaden it and came up with this.
The previous one
Although I am not sure where this came from, I realized at the time that it was probably bogus, too much, and could pass for self-aggrandizement.
Maybe not
But, once upon a time, there was a lot of light in my life, so that could be the reason. So, I believe it was time to change everything.
Fortunately, it is not like a username that you can not change; however, my username has been my username for 13 years, and there is no need or reason to change it.
Then I started thinking about the type of content I would created over the last two years, and I realized it was probably more crypto-related; that was probably my true niche, my biggest passion, and the type of content I excelled at creating.
I started counting down to 2025 in 2022, and picking up crypto content topics means I can share what I've learned over the years, and here we are, finally.
No better way to learn than to teach you can try it out and see
Although I have chosen photography as a niche, I do not devote as much attention to it as I should. I also spend some time on crypto Twitter, and I occasionally create content to counter someone else's ideas or thoughts, and in the process, I have learned a few things over the year.
Thank you all
Fortunately, some Hive users have expressed interest in my type of content, engaging, endorsing, and supporting it.
Also, most of my finance post are somehow related to crypto, and some how I find ways to talk about crypto, even when I talking about general finance, perhaps it's an obsession, or maybe I just find the right crypto allusion in every real life financial circumstances.
So yes. I came up with something shorter and less colorful, and here it is.
The new one
Personally I do not think I create things like I used to, and that is because of a lot of things that have happened in my life over the last two years, and this is why I do not create things about myself anymore; does this mean nothing is going on with me?
No. On the other hand, if I decide to post things, pictures, information, receipts, or proofs of things that have happened in my life, it will still take months to discuss them, including my diagnoses, personal life, health, family, and other topics.
In fact, more has happened in my life in the last two years than in the previous five years spent on the chain.
You can be faceless On Hive, but not invincible or without wits
There are people on the chain who are completely anonymous, with no pictures, life history, family background, real names, or anything, and they interact with the chain on a daily basis, making connections, friends, expanding their interactions, and so on.
You do not need a face or to bring your real-life issues to the chain to make an impact, which is how Hive differs from web2, where you have to post a naked picture to gain traction.
So, my avatars remain the same; I have changed them once, but the current one is cool, even though I have cut my beard and they do not seem to match as well, but that is okay.
The dark picture hue in the background is an original image, and I still believe it is good and does not require any changes.
So, have you ever changed your bio? Or have you never paid attention to it? What is the first thing you want a potential follower to notice when they click to check out your blog, and what have you done to make it successful? Maybe you do not care about making an impression?
