It is disappointing not to be able to earn the 1.5x Glints we did on Splinterlands two seasons ago. I mean, if we had kept doing this for a while, we might get used to it. This season, we are back to earning regular Glint rewards.
The upside is that I earned 47k Glints, which is 2k more than my target of 45k Glints at the end of the season. So I would call it a good season. However, I experienced more unexpected losing streaks and finished in Gold 3 rather than 2 or 1.
It becomes increasingly difficult to compete against players who have some of the best cards in the game.
So last season was one of the most difficult ever; it appeared that we had new players, because I had to play against some incredible summoners and max level cards, which was difficult.
However, it was still exciting and enjoyable. If the game became too easy, it would no longer be enjoyable, and I believe it is enjoyable to lose while also winning.
So I have decided to never shop for legendary draws again, because I believe 35k Glint is a lot of gamble. I can not avoid the risk of getting a bad or good legendary card because I tried it two seasons ago with the 1.5x rewards and received a terrible card.
50% of the legendary draws are not worth it
So I believe the Frigid wolf is one of the most terrible soulbound legendary ever: it has terrible health, no good abilities except (charge, which is seen in common cards).
I believe the logic behind this card stems from its low mana cost.
However, if we follow this logic, the Halfing refugee, which is a EPIC, is a far superior card, so I do not understand the length.
I am leaving an image because I do not understand how an epic card with the same low Mana narrative can outperform a true legendary card.
Since receiving the card, I have yet to find a proper ruleset or game that is appropriate for this card, owing to the fact that whenever the need to use it arises, there is always a better card that can perform better. So maybe I will just cut my losses and burn this one.
Thanks to my Guild once more, I have been able to accumulate gladius cards through the merits I have earned thus far from participating. I opened 5 Gladius cases again, and they were just as disappointing as the ones I opened last week.
No epics or legendaries, just two common gold foils that I burned right away because I already had a higher level of the standard version. So, once again, I am on the hunt for an extra version of Quora to reach level 3, as well as my first level two legendary Gladius cards.
So I decided to get some epic cards as well, and instead of the standard four, I received five. This time, I'm also getting another Olivia of the brook.
I have yet to get any of my EPIC cards to level 3, and I believe it will take a few more seasons to do so. I just think my common and rare collections are far superior because I spent more Glint on them, and I do not think I regret it.
Overall, my card upgrades are still ongoing, and I believe I will focus on epic cards once my common and rare cards reach levels 7 and 8. For the time being, no more Legendaries unless I start earning 200k glints per season or receive 100k SPS delegations.
However, these are not currently possible. I am not going to be touching any legendary draws anytime soon.
