Focus on Splinterlands Auction and HELOISE THE HOLLOW + Season Partial Results
One of the aspects I like most about Splinterlands is the continuous addition of features and improvements, the aspect I like least is instead the allowing the use of bots in the Wild Format but I have already written many times about this aspect and I will not repeat myself in this post as well.
Today my focus is on the latest novelty introduced on Splinterlands: the auctions.
In fact, on October 29, 2024, the Auction House, a section of the Shop of Splinterlands was opened where you can make offers to purchase one of the 100 legendary cards available in a 100-day time frame.
Starting from November 6, 2024, it is possible to make offers to try to purchase the legendary card HELOISE THE HOLLOW.
HELOISE THE HOLLOW will only be purchasable through this new purchase mode, and every 25 hours the auction will be closed and the card will be awarded to the highest bidder.
There will be a total of 100 auctions lasting 25 hours because there are 100 HELOISE THE HOLLOW cards available for purchase.
Right now the auction number 3/100 is underway and will close in about two hours.
The highest bidder is blazoblaz who offered 1079450 DEC.
It is possible to choose between two modes of purchase, DEC and Credits and the minimum raise is 10K DEC.
Based on the market value of the DEC tokens, I have calculated the dollar value of 1089420 DEC which is the amount of DEC needed to outbid the best purchase offer prensent at the time of writing this post.
So in order to outbid the best bid present at the time of writing this post, it is necessary to spend $912.74 and it is absolutely recommended to use DEC tokens for purchase because the difference between paying in credits and DEC is more than $175.
In the first two auctions HELOISE THE HOLLOW was purchased for:
- 1347000 DEC from housewifetw
- 1050000 DEC from vettev
I don't have the liquidity to buy this card because I have about 200K DEC in my in-game wallet but if I had the necessary liquidity and if I wanted to buy HELOISE THE HOLLOW I think I would choose as a strategy to wait for at least 60-70 auctions because generally the possibility of having a useful card in battle before other players affects the price.
Heloise The Hollow is a card I like for several reasons:
it has eight melee attack points and no other card has this amount of attack points because there are other cards that have at most 7 melee attack points such as Jared Scar, Mordeus and Vinka the Vile.
has the Opportunity ability and will be the nightmare of opponent cards with low life points.
Is the only card to have the new Spite and Soul Siphon abilities.
Thanks to the Spite and Soul Siphon abilities, Heloise The Hollow can attack when she dies and can resurrect!
So Heloise The Hollow is a very strong card but it also has weaknesses:
- it has few life points for a card that has the Taunt ability.
In fact, all opposing cards will attack Heloise The Hollow precisely because of the Taunt ability.
This is why it is useful or perhaps necessary to place another card with the Taunt ability before Heloise The Hollow.
One of the combinations I immediately thought of after seeing the statistics and abilities of Heloise The Hollow is the Agor Longtail + Heloise The Hollow combination.
Heloise The Hollow can only be used with summoners of the Neutral, Dragon, Death, and Earth elements, and this aspect reduces the number of cards with the Taunt ability that can be used in combination.
In fact, in the Modern Format there are only four cards with the Taunt ability that can be used with Heloise The Hollow.
If it had been a neutral card it would have been even more valuable in battle.
The other weakness of Heloise The Hollow is that every time it resurrects it inflicts the enemy card with the most life the Weary penalty by also reducing its life by 50% but the advantage of resurrecting outweighs this weakness in my opinion.
In conclusion my opinion is that HELOISE THE HOLLOW is a very very strong card but it is not a very versatile card because you need to use it in combination with other cards to use its maximum potential.
I hope not to encounter it in battle in the Gold+ leagues of the Mondern Format and I would love to have it in my card collection but at the same time I don't have the liquidity to buy it and honestly with 1100000 DEC available I would buy many other cards, especially summoners, instead of buying a single card because even if a card is very strong in battle it remains a single card and the beauty of Splinterlands is that combinations of several cards are often more important than a single strong card.
Even if I do not purchase this card I consider as a very positive sign the value of the bids this card is getting in the auctions.
Before concluding this post I will share my partial results that I am getting in the current season.
At the beginning of the season I had set two goals to achieve:
- arrive at least in the Diamond II league of the Modern Format.
- earn at least 160K Glint.
When there are just under 6 days left until the end of the season, I am in the Gold I league of the Modern Format and have earned 61K Glint.
I am quite distant from reaching my season goals but I have had very little free time this season compared to the previous season and have played very few battles also wasting some of the energy points that have often reached 50.
In fact, in the current season I have played only 149 battles.
I will try to play more in this final season and also try to improve my win rate.
I will end this post by showing one of my battles in which I used one of the card combinations I like to use in battle: Possibilus the Wise + Diemondshark + Arkemis the Bear + Deeplurker + Merdaali Guardian + Doctor Blight

Focus sulle Aste di Splinterlands e sulla carta HELOISE THE HOLLOW + I miei risultati parziali nella stagione in corso (ENG/ITA)
Uno degli aspetti che più mi piace di Splinterlands è la continua aggiunta di funzionalità e miglioramenti, l'aspetto che meno mi piace è invece il consentire l'uso dei bots nel Wild Format ma su questo aspetto ho già scritto tante volte le mie considerazioni e non mi ripeterò anche in questo post.
Oggi il mio focus è sull'ultima novità introdotta su Splinterlands: le aste.
Infatti il 29 ottobre 2024 è stata aperta l'Auction House, una sezione dello Shop di Splinterlands in cui è possibile effettuare delle offerte per acquistare una delle 100 carte leggendarie disponibili in un intervallo di tempo di 100 giorni.
A partire dal 6 novembre 2024 è possibile effettuare le offerte per provare ad acquistare la carta leggendaria HELOISE THE HOLLOW.
HELOISE THE HOLLOW sarà acquistabile solo tramite questa nuova modalità di acquisto e ogni 25 ore l'asta verrà chiusa e la carta sarà assegnata al miglior offerente.
Ci saranno in totale 100 aste della durata di 25 ore perchè sono 100 le carte HELOISE THE HOLLOW disponibili all'acquisto.
In questo momento è in corso l'asta numero 3/100 che si chiuderà tra circa due ore.
Il miglior offerente è blazoblaz che ha offerto 1079450 DEC.
E' possibile scegliere tra due modalità di acquisto, DEC e Credits e il rialzo minimo è di 10K DEC.
In base al valore di mercato dei token DEC ho calcolato il valore in dollari di 1089420 DEC che è il quantitativo di DEC necessario per superare la migliore offerta di acquisto prensente nel momento in cui scrivo questo post.
Quindi per superare la migliore offerta presente in questo momento è necessario spendere 912.74$ ed è assolutamente consigliato utilizzare i token DEC per l'acquisto perchè la differenza tra il pagamento in credits e in DEC è superiore a 175$.
Nelle prime due aste HELOISE THE HOLLOW è stata acquistata per:
- 1347000 DEC da housewifetw
- 1050000 DEC da vettev
Io non ho la liquidità per acquistare questa carta perchè ho circa 200K DEC nel mio in-game wallet ma se avessi la liquidità necessaria e se volessi acquistare HELOISE THE HOLLOW penso che sceglierei come strategia di aspettare almeno 60-70 aste perchè in genere la possibilità di avere una carta utile in battaglia prima degli altri giocatori influisce sul prezzo.
Heloise The Hollow è una carta che mi piace per diversi motivi:
ha otto punti di attacco da mischia e nessuna altra carta ha questo quantitativo di punti di attacco perchè ci sono altre carte che hanno al massimo 7 punti di attacco da mischia come ad esempio Jared Scar, Mordeus e Vinka the Vile.
ha l'abilità Opportunity e sarà l'incubo delle carte avversarie con pochi punti vita.
è l'unica carta ad avere le nuove abilità Spite e Soul Siphon
Grazie alle abilità Spite e Soul Siphon, Heloise The Hollow può attaccare quando muore e può risorgere!
Quindi Heloise The Hollow è una carta molto forte ma ha anche dei punti deboli:
- ha pochi punti vita per una carta che ha l'abilità Taunt.
Infatti tutte le carte avversarie attaccheranno Heloise The Hollow proprio per effetto dell'abilità Taunt.
Per questo motivo è utile o forse necessario posizionare un'altra carta con l'abilità Taunt prima di Heloise The Hollow.
Una delle combinazioni a cui ho subito pensato dopo aver visto le statistiche e le abilità di Heloise The Hollow è la combinazione Agor Longtail + Heloise The Hollow.
Heloise The Hollow può essere utilizzata solo con gli evocatori degli elementi Neutrale, Dragone, Morte e Earth e questo aspetto riduce il numero di carte con l'abilità Taunt utilizzabili in combinazione.
Infatti nel Modern Format ci sono solo quattro carte con l'abilità Taunt utilizzabili con Heloise The Hollow.
Se fosse stata una carta neutrale avrebbe avuto ancora più valore in battaglia.
L'altro punto debole di Heloise The Hollow è che ogni volta che risorge infligge alla carta nemica con la maggior vita la penalità Weary riducendo anche la sua vita del 50%.
In conclusione la mia opinione è che HELOISE THE HOLLOW è una carta molto molto forte ma non è una carta molto versatile perchè è necessario utilizzarla in combinazione con altre carte per sfruttare il suo massimo potenziale.
Spero di non incontrarla in battaglia nelle leghe Gold+ del Mondern Format e mi piacerebbe averla nella mia collezione di carte ma allo stesso tempo non ho la liquidità per acquistarla e sinceramente con 1100000 DEC a disposizione acquisterei molte altre carte, soprattutto evocatori, invece di acquistare una singola carta perchè anche se una carta è molto forte in battaglia rimane una singola carta e il bello di Splinterlands è che spesso sono più importanti le combinazioni di più carte rispetto ad una singola e forte carta.
Amche se non acquisterò questa carta considero come un segnale molto positivo il valore dei bids che sta ottenendo questa carta nelle aste.
Prima di concludere questo post condivido i miei risultati parziali che sto ottenendo nella stagione in corso.
All'inizio della stagione avevo fissato due obiettivi da raggiungere:
- arrivare almeno nella lega Diamond II del Modern Format
- guadagnare almeno 160K Glint
Quando mancano poco meno di 6 giorni alla fine della stagione sono nella lega Gold I del Modern Format e ho guadagnato 61K Glint.
Sono molto lontano dal raggiungere i miei obiettivi stagionali ma ho avuto molto poco tempo libero in questa stagione rispetto alla precedente e ho giocato poche battaglie sprecando anche parte dei punti energia che sono arrivati spesso a 50.
Infatti nella stagione in corso ho giocato solo 149 battaglie.
Proverò a giocare di più in questo finale di stagione e cercherò anche di migliorare il mio win rate.
Concludo questo post mostrando una mia battaglia in cui ho utilizzato una delle combinazioni di carte che mi piace utilizzare in battaglia: Possibilus the Wise + Diemondshark + Arkemis the Bear + Deeplurker + Merdaali Guardian + Doctor Blight
