Hive and My Road to 75K Hive Power: 63K HP Surpassed! + My Partecipation in Hive Power Up Day!
Today is August 1 of the year 2024 and like every first day of the month:
I like to publish a post in which I check and share my progress on Hive
I like to share a little focus on the value of the HIVE token
I like to participate in the Hive Power Up Day initiative which is a nice recurring initiative of every first day of every month.
I like to set and share my resolutions for the month just started.
I discovered Hive on March 5, 2019 and today, July 1, 2024, more than 5 years after creating my Hive account, I am still here on Hive because I like to write content on my Hive blog, I like to interact with other Hive authors, and I like to play Hive games, which have become the main topic of my posts since 2021.
Thirty-one days ago, on July 1, 2024 1 HIVE had a value = 0.2168$ and was in place 350 considering the Market Cap
Today, August 1, 2024 1 HIVE has a value = $0.2108 and is in place 341 considering the Market Cap
In a time interval of 31 days (July 1, 2024 - August 1, 2024) the value of the HIVE token decreased by -0.006$ = -2.77%
Looking at the value of some meme coins that have 0 utility and looking at the value of so many other blockchains and project blockchains tokens that in my opinion have much less utility than Hive I consider the current market value of the HIVE token to be a very underestimated and very undervalued value (this is my personal opinion and is not financial advice).
I continue to see a lot of potential in Hive because even though Hive is not perfect and has aspects to improve it has a lot more utility than many other blockchain platforms.
For example, how many blockchain projects have fast transactions with no fees to pay? Very few!
In my opinion what Hive lacks most right now is not marketing even though good marketing could be useful.
In my opinion what Hive lacks most to be even more useful, competitive and attractive are applications.
Hive needs developers and applications and the way to incentivize developers to create applications on Hive is to have smart contracts, which Hive does not have yet.
The good news is that smartcontracts on Hive are under development and when they are implemented they will close a gap that Hive has had until now compared to technically inferior blockchain platforms.
While I await with much interest the arrival of smart contracts on Hive I continue to focus on increasing my Hive Power (=HIVE staked) because Hive Power is the element that measures the influence of an account on Hive and I want to have more and more influence within my favorite blockchain project.
With the value of HIVE at $0.2108 it is a good time for me to:
- use some of the income I get from my gaming activity in the Hive games in Hive Power.
- sell some second-level tokens in exchange for SWAP.HIVE and then convert them to HIVE and make Hive Power Up.
That is why even on Splinterlands where I have been playing for 5 years and in which I have always reinvested the earnings to be more competitive in the game recently I have decided to use 50% of my earnings to do Hive Power Up and the other 50% to grow on Splinterlands!
In July, I also sold several second-level tokens to increase the amount of SWAP.HIVE tokens in my possession.
Today in my Hive Engine wallet I had 462.32 SWAP.HIVE.
I converted all my liquid SWAP.HIVE to HIVE to make an even bigger Hive Power Up.
I chose to use the Convert feature of BeeSwap for the conversion.
Today is the eighth Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) of the year 2024, and I am glad to be able to participate by doing a Hive Power UP above 500 HP.
Today I made a Hive Power Up = 557.88 HIVE -> +557.88 HP.
Hive Power Up Day is a nice initiative that I like to participate in every first day of the month and it is also an initiative that I cherish because I am a HIVE stakeholder and a Hive lover!
With today's participation in Hive Power Up Day, I have brought the number of my consecutive participations to 23 while there are a total of 41 of my HPUD participations from August 2020 to today and therefore today I will also receive my 41st badge at https://hivebuzz.me/.
On January 1, 2024, I set two goals related to my Hive Power (HP):
an intermediate goal: to reach Orca status.
an annual goal: to reach 75K HP by the end of the year 2024
In early June, I reached Orca status and thus achieved my first annual goal.
With the Power Up I did today, I reached an amount of 63480.91 HP.
In order to reach 75K HP I still need to accumulate 11519 HP to reach my annual HP-related goal.
With the HP I gained in July and with the Power Up I made today, I also made small steps forward in the ranking of Hive users with the most HP.
On July 1, 2024 I was in place 299 in the top 300 of Hive users with the most HP while today thanks to the Hive Power Up I did today with 63480 HP I should reach position 296.
To monitor my progress toward Orca status and toward my annual goal but especially to self-motivate myself at each beginning of the month, I created a table in which:
I mark at each beginning of the month my monthly increases in Hive Power
I calculate an intermediate monthly goal that will be bigger or smaller based on my results in the previous month.
In the time interval of July 1, 2024 - July 1, 2024, I increased my Hive Power by +2617.91 HP.
Today I am recording my second largest monthly increment I have been able to make in 2024.
I didn't reach my monthly increment goal even though I came very close because I would have had to gain another 209.49 HP to be able to lower my monthly increment goal for August but since I failed to do so my intermediate goal for the current month is higher: 2827.40->2879.77.
Reaching an amount of 75K HP by the end of the year will not be easy but I will commit myself to achieving it.
- I published 23 posts (+3 posts compared to the previous month)
- I wrote 485 comments (-32 comments compared to the previous month)
If I could publish at least 1 post a day, I could speed up my path to 75K HP but I have been trying to publish 1 post a day for years without succeeding because I have so many commitments in real life but sooner or later I will be able to achieve this goal as well.
I check on a monthly basis my results related to publishing content and my level of interaction on Hive because the two elements that I consider most important for growing on Hive are precisely:
- interaction
- consistency in publishing
These two elements are strongly interrelated but interaction is in my opinion the most important element.
In July I wrote 485 comments and my Comments/posts ratio was 25.85
I could do more in terms of interaction but I always try to keep myself above a Comments/posts ratio greater than 20.
There is also another important element to growing on Hive and one that I have noticed is often not considered by new users but also by users who have been on Hive for a long time: the propensity for staking HIVE tokens.
If you've been on Hive for so many years, made so many posts and received so many rewards but have a HP close to 0 I don't see the logical reason why you think you're guaranteed to get great support from those who have shown a high propensity for staking over time.
Hive is a DPOS and stake matters and that is why if you want to grow on Hive and have medium to long term growth goals you must also consider staking propensity as a very important element!
Over the years I have often read posts from users complaining that their posts were not getting the attention and rewards they deserved.
In most cases those complaining had:
- a very low level of interaction
- a very low propensity for staking
In my opinion in these cases the fault is not Hive's but is simply a lack of self-criticism and unwillingness to engage in understanding Hive's mechanisms!
In the month of August I will try to maintain a good level of posting and interaction but for at least 10 days I will be on vacation without my Desktop PC so I will hardly be able to be as active as in the previous months but at the same time I will come back much more relaxed and charged than before because spending time with my family and my daughter Chiara is the best and most beautiful way to spend my time.

63K Hive Power Superato e il mio percorso verso 75K Hive Power!
Oggi è il primo agosto dell'anno 2024 e come ogni primo giorno del mese:

mi piace condividere un piccolo focus sul valore del token HIVE
mi piace partecipare all'iniziativa Hive Power Up Day che è una bella iniziativa ricorrente di ogni primo giorno di ogni mese.
mi piace fissare e condividere i miei propositi per il mese appena iniziato.
Ho scoperto Hive il 5 marzo 2019 e oggi 1 luglio 2024, dopo più di 5 anni dalla creazione del mio Hive account, sono ancora qui su Hive perchè mi piace scrivere contenuti sul mio Hive blog, mi piace interagire con gli altri autori di Hive e mi piace giocare agli Hive games che a partire dal 2021 sono diventati il principale argomento dei miei post.
Il 1 luglio 2024 1 HIVE aveva un valore = 0.2168$ e si trovava al posto 350 considerando il Market Cap
Oggi 1 agosto 2024 1 HIVE ha un valore = 0.2108$ e si trova al posto 341 considerando il Market Cap
In un intervallo di tempo di 31 giorni (1 luglio 2024 - 1 agosto 2024) il valore del token HIVE è diminuito di -0.006$ = -2.77%
Guardando il valore di alcune meme coins che hanno 0 utilità e guardando il valore di tanti altri token di blockchains e progetti blockchains che secondo me hanno molte meno utilità di Hive considero il valore di mercato attuale del token HIVE un valore molto sottostimato e molto sottovalutato (è la mia personale opinione e non è un consiglio finanziario).
Continuo a vedere molto potenziale in Hive perchè anche se Hive non è perfetta e ha aspetti da migliorare ha molte più utilità rispetto a tante altre piattaforme blockchain.
Ad esempio quanti progetti blockchain hanno transazioni veloci senza fees da pagare? Pochissimi!
Secondo me quello che manca maggiormente ad Hive in questo momento non è il marketing anche se un buon marketing potrebbe essere utile.
Secondo me quello che manca maggiormente ad Hive per essere ancora più utile, competitiva e attrattiva sono le applicazioni.
Hive ha bisogno di sviluppatori e di applicazioni e il modo per incentivare gli sviluppatori a creare applicazioni su Hive è avere gli smartcontracts, cosa che Hive non ha ancora.
Fortunatamente gli smartcontracts su Hive sono in fase di sviluppo e quando saranno implementati colmeranno un gap che Hive ha avuto fino ad ora rispetto a piattaforme blockchain tecnicamente inferiori.
Mentre aspetto con molto interesse l'arrivo degli smartcontracts su Hive continuo a focalizzarmi sull'aumentare il mio Hive Power (=HIVE staked) perchè l'Hive Power è l'elemento che misura l'influenza di un account su Hive e io voglio avere sempre più influenza all'interno del mio progetto blockchain preferito.
Con il valore di HIVE a 0.2108$ è un buon momento per me di:
- utilizzare parte dei guadagni che ottengo dalla mia attività di gioco negli Hive games in Hive Power
- vendere alcuni token di secondo livello in cambio di SWAP.HIVE per poi convertirli in HIVE e fare Hive Power Up.
Per questo motivo anche su Splinterlands dove gioco da 5 anni e nel quale ho sempre reinvestito i guadagni per essere più competitivo nel gioco di recente ho deciso di utlizzare il 50% dei miei guadagni per fare Hive Power Up e l'altro 50% per crescere su Splinterlands!
Nel mese di luglio ho venduto anche diversi token di secondo livello per aumentare il quantitativo di token SWAP.HIVE in mio possesso.
Oggi nel mio Hive Engine wallet avevo 462.32 SWAP.HIVE
Ho convertito tutti i miei SWAP.HIVE liquidi in HIVE per fare un Hive Power Up ancora più grande.
Per la conversione ho scelto di utilizzare la funzionalità Convert di BeeSwap
Oggi è l'ottavo Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) dell'anno 2024 e sono contento di poter partecipare facendo un Hive Power UP superiore a 500 HP.
Oggi ho fatto un Hive Power Up = 557.88 HIVE -> +557.88 HP.
L'Hive Power Up Day è una bella iniziativa a cui mi piace partecipare ogni primo giorno del mese ed è anche un'iniziativa a cui tengo molto perchè sono un HIVE stakeholder e un Hive lover!
Con la mia partecipazione di oggi all'Hive Power Up Day ho portato a 23 il numero delle mie partecipazioni consecutive mentre sono in totale 41 le mie partecipazioni all'HPUD da agosto 2020 ad oggi e quindi oggi riceverò anche il mio quarantunesimo badge sul sito https://hivebuzz.me/.
Il 1 gennaio 2024 ho fissato due obiettivi relativi al mio Hive Power (HP):
un obiettivo intermedio: raggiungere lo status di Orca
un obiettivo annuale: raggiungere 75K HP entro la fine dell'anno 2024
Nei primi giorni di giugno ho raggiunto lo status di Orca e quindi ho raggiunto il mio primo obiettivo annuale.
Grazie al Power Up che ho fatto oggi ho raggiunto un quantitativo di 63480.91 HP.
Per arrivare a 75K HP devo accumulare ancora 11519 HP per raggiungere il mio obiettivo annuale relativo agli HP.
Con gli HP che ho guadagnato nel mese di luglio e con il Power Up che ho fatto oggi ho fatto dei piccoli passi in avanti anche nella classifica degli utenti di Hive con più HP.
Il 1 luglio 2024 ero al posto 299 nella top 300 degli utenti di Hive con più HP mentre oggi grazie al Hive Power Up che ho fatto oggi con 63480 HP dovrei raggiungere la posizione 296.
Per monitorare i miei progressi verso il mio obiettivo annuale ma soprattutto per automotivarmi ad ogni inizio mese ho costruito una tabella in cui:
segno ad ogni inizio mese i miei incrementi mensili di Hive Power
calcolo un obiettivo intermedio mensile che sarà più grande o più piccolo in base ai miei risultati nel mese precedente.
Nell'intervallo di tempo 1 luglio 2024 - 1 luglio 2024 ho incrementato il mio Hive Power di +2617.91 HP.
Oggi registro il mio secondo più grande incremento mensile che sono riuscito a fare nel 2024.
Non ho raggiunto l'obiettivo di incremento mensile anche se mi sono avvicinato molto perchè avrei dovuto guadagnare altri 209.49 HP per riuscire ad abbassare il mio obiettivo di incremento mensile per il mese di agosto ma dato che non ci sono riuscito il mio obiettivo intermedio per il mese in corso è più alto: 2827.40->2879.77.
Raggiungere un quantitativo di 75K HP entro la fine dell'anno non sarà facile ma mi impegnerò per riuscirci.
Nel mese di luglio:
- ho pubblicato 23 post (+3 post rispetto al mese precedente)
- ho scritto 485 commenti (-32 commenti rispetto al mese precedente)
Se riuscissi a pubblicare almeno 1 post al giorno potrei velocizzare il mio percorso verso i 75K HP ma sono anni che provo a pubblicare 1 post al giorno senza riuscirci perchè ho tanti impegni nella real life ma prima o poi riuscirò a raggiungere anche questo obiettivo.
Controllo su base mensile i miei risultati relativi alla pubblicazione di contenuti e al mio livello di interazione su Hive perchè i due elementi che considero più importanti per crescere su Hive sono proprio:
- interazione
- consistenza nella pubblicazione
Questi due elementi sono fortemente collegati tra di loro ma l'interazione è secondo me l'elemento più importante.
Nel mese di luglio ho scritto 485 commenti e il mio rapporto Comments/posts è stato di 25.85
Potrei fare di più in termini di interazione ma cerco sempre di mantenermi sopra ad un rapporto Comments/posts maggiore di 20.
C'è anche un altro elemento importante per crescere su Hive e che ho notato che viene spesso non considerato dai nuovi utenti ma anche da utenti che sono su Hive da molto tempo: la propensione allo staking dei token HIVE.
Se sei su Hive da tanti anni, hai pubblicato tanti post e ricevuto tante rewards ma hai un HP vicino allo 0 non vedo il motivo logico per cui pensi di ricevere grande supporto da chi ha mostrato nel tempo un'alta propensione allo staking.
Hive è una DPOS e lo stake conta e per questo motivo se vuoi crescere su Hive e hai obiettivi di crescita di medio-lungo termine devi considerare anche la propensione allo staking come un elemento molto importante!
In questi anni ho spesso letto post di utenti che si lamentavano che i loro post non ricevevano l'attenzione e le rewards che meritavano.
Nella maggior parte dei casi chi si lamentava aveva:
- un livello di interazione molto basso
- una bassissima propensione allo staking
In questi casi la colpa non è di Hive ma è semplicemente della poca autocritica e della poca voglia di impegnarsi nel capire i meccanismi di Hive!
Nel mese di agosto cercherò di mantenere un buon livello di pubblicazione e di interazione ma per almeno 10 giorni sarò in vacanza senza il mio Desktop PC e quindi difficilmente potrò essere attivo come i mesi precedenti ma allo stesso tempo tornerò molto più rilassato e carico di prima perchè passare del tempo con la mia famiglia e con mia figlia Chiara è il modo migliore e più bello di impiegare il mio tempo.
