My Game Activity and Progress on Soulkeep + The Opening of 20 Nightmare Packs
I have started playing on Soulkeep since the day of its release on June 25, 2024.
Soulkeep is a Tower Defense game playable directly from the Splinterlands site and is currently the only game of the Tower Defense type playable on Hive.
I like and enjoy tower defense games and Soulkeep is a fun game for me and I try to play every day in the tournament mode using the free ticket that is distributed every day to all players who have at least 1 NFT.
On the other hand, my my investment in Soulkeep started much earlier because it was September 20, 2022 when I participated in the presale and purchased 167 Nightmare packs for which I spent 760K DEC + 167 VOUCHERS which were worth 662$ at the time of my purchase.
To date I have opened 102 NIHGTMARE packs and still have 65 NIGHTMARE packs to open.
Today I decided to open another 20 NIGHTMARE packs but before opening them I purchased 100 Legendary potions and 100 Alchemy potions to have a better chance of finding Gold cards and legendary type cards.
To purchase 100 Alchemy potions I spent 7680 GLINT.
To purchase 100 Legendary potions I spent 9600 GLINT.
Then I went to the Open section on the Splinterlands site and opened 20 Nightmare packs at once.
In the next screenshots you can see the 100 NFTs I found in 20 Nightmare packs.
Soulkeep has two game modes, Battle and Tournaments.
Battle mode also determines the playable tournament level and that is why I can play in league 2 tournaments.
I have completed all levels in league 2's Battle mode but cannot yet advance to league 3 because I must first meet the entry requirements = eliminate a specific number of fiends of different rarity in tournament mode (see next image).
By the way as long as I play in league 2 tournaments I also have a cap related to the level of my Tower and Spells cards.
For this reason, even if my HEARTGIVER legendary spell starts at level 7 in league 2 tournaments I will be able to use the game stats of the level 3 spell
For this reason even though I have 3 BCX and I could increase the level of my HEARTGIVER (level 7 -> level 8) I prefer not to do this upgrade now because it would be useless for me.
For the time being I prefer to try to put 2 BCX for rent so that I can have a chance to earn additional income in DEC tokens even though there is not much movement in the Soulkeep rental market at the moment.
On Soulkeep, my upgrade strategy will be the same as I have always adopted on Splinterlands:
- I will sell the cards I don't like or I don't use in the game
- I will buy the cards I like and upgrade the cards I use in game
To date, I have sold more than 50 NFTs and will use the earnings to make upgrades of the cards I use most in play based on the maximum level at which I can use them.
The towers I have used the most so far in the game are:
- TARANTULA LOOM
- CHARNEL PIT
- JACK'S JOKE
- QUAD KILLER
- KNIFE TOSSER
I already have my 5 favorite towers at the maximum usable level in league 2, and so I do not currently have a
need to make upgrades at the moment.
My favorite tower is the Quad Killer tower even though it has lost usefulness compared to the beginning because initially it could be used in three positions in each map while now you can only place one in each tournament because it is one of the most versatile and useful towers.
From June 25 to date, I have received 17 rewards in SPS tokens because I have finished 17 times within the top 50% of the daily ranking of the tournament mode.
In fact, in order to receive game rewards, it is necessary to finish at least in the top 50% in the daily tournament rankings.
In relation to the value of my initial investment, the game rewards I have received so far are relatively low in value but I need to improve my game strategy because I have not yet accumulated significant game experience and especially I have not yet studied in depth the characteristics of the various fiends encountered in the game.
In fact, every fiends has strengths and weaknesses and the choice of towers in tournaments is crucial to get high scores.
In yesterday's tournament, I only received 1.84 SPS as a prize because I placed place 77 in the daily ranking.
The top positions in the daily ranking receive some very interesting SPS prizes.
In fact, in yesterday's tournament on July 22, 2024, player @delegat came in first place with a score=16953 obtained in 1 attempt and received 683 SPS.
Today, July 23, 2024, 683.62 SPS have a value (highest bid) = 19.85 SWAP.HIVE = $4.38
I often successfully complete all the waves in the tournament but have never made it into the top 20 of the daily leaderboard, which is why I have set just getting into the top 20 of the league 2 daily leaderboard as my short term goal on Soulkeep.

Soulkeep: La mia attività di gioco e i miei progressi + L'apertura di 20 Nightmare Packs
Ho iniziato a giocare su Soulkeep fin dal giorno del suo rilascio, il 25 giugno 2024.
Soulkeep è un Tower Defense game giocabile direttamente dal sito di Splinterlands e al momento è l'unico gioco della tipologia Tower Defense giocabile su Hive.
I Tower defense games mi piacciono e mi divertono e Soulkeep è un gioco divertente per me e cerco di giocare ogni giorno nella modalità torneo utilizzando il ticket gratuito che ogni giorno viene distribuito a tutti i giocatori che hanno almeno 1 NFT.
Il mio investimento su Soulkeep è invece iniziato molto tempo prima perchè era il 20 settembre 2022 quando ho partecipato alla presale e ho acquistato 167 Nightmare packs per i quali ho speso 760K DEC + 167 VOUCHERS che al momento del mio acquisto valevano 662$.
Fino ad oggi ho aperto 102 NIHGTMARE packs e ho ancora 65 NIGHTMARE packs da aprire.
Oggi ho deciso di aprire altri 20 NIGHTMARE packs ma prima di aprirli ho acquistato 100 Legendary potions e 100 Alchemy potions per avere più chance di trovare carte Gold e carte di tipo leggendario.

Poi sono andato nella sezione Open sul sito di Splinterlands e ho aperto 20 Nightmare packs contemporaneamente.
Negli screenshots seguenti puoi vedere i 100 NFT che ho trovato in 20 Nightmare packs.
Soulkeep ha due modalità di gioco, Battle e Tournaments.
La modalità battle determina anche il livello del torneo giocabile ed è per questo motivo che io posso giocare nei tornei della league 2.
Ho completato tutti i livelli nella modalità Battle della league 2 ma non posso ancora avanzare nella league 3 perchè devo prima soddisfare i requisiti di ingresso = eliminare un preciso numero di fiends di rarità diversa nella modalità torneo (vedi prossima immagine).
Tra l'altro fino a quando giocherò nei tornei della league 2 ho anche un cap relativo al livello delle mie carte Tower e Spells.
Per questo motivo anche se il mio spell leggendario HEARTGIVER parte dal livello 7 nei tornei della league 2 potrò utilizzare le statistiche di gioco dello spell di livello 3
Per questo motivo anche se ho 3 BCX e potrei aumentare il livello del mio HEARTGIVER (level 7 -> level 8) preferisco non fare questo upgrade ora perchè sarebbe inutile per me.
Per il momento preferisco provare a mettere a noleggio 2 BCX in modo da avere la possibilità di guadagnare una entrata aggiuntiva in token DEC anche se al momento non c'è molto movimento nel mercato del noleggio di Soulkeep.
Su Soulkeep la mia strategia di upgrade sarà la stessa che ho sempre adottato su Splinterlands:
- venderò le carte che non mi piacciono o che non uso in gioco
- acquisterò le carte che mi piacciono e farò l'upgrade delle carte che uso in gioco
Fino ad oggi ho venduto più di 50 NFT e utilizzerò i guadagni per fare gli upgrade delle carte che uso di più in gioco in base al livello massimo a cui potrò utilizzarle.
Le torri che ho utilizzato di più fino ad ora in gioco sono:
- TARANTULA LOOM
- CHARNEL PIT
- JACK'S JOKE
- QUAD KILLER
- KNIFE TOSSER
Ho già le mie 5 torri preferite al massimo livello utilizzabile nella league 2 e quindi non ho al
momento necessità di fare degli upgrades.
La mia torre preferita è la torre Quad Killer anche se ha perso utilità rispetto all'inizio perchè inizialmente poteva essere utilizzata in tre posizioni in ogni mappa mentre adesso è possibile posizionarne solo una in ogni torneo perchè è una delle torri più versatili e utili.
Dal 25 giugno ad oggi ho ricevuto 17 ricompense in token SPS perchè sono arrivato 17 volte all'interno del top 50% della classifica giornaliera della modalità torneo.
Infatti per ricevere le ricompense di gioco è necessario arrivare almeno nella top 50% nelle classifiche giornaliere dei tornei.
In rapporto al valore del mio investimento iniziale le ricompense di gioco che ho ricevuto fino ad oggi hanno un valore relativamente basso ma devo migliorare la mia strategia di gioco perchè non ho ancora accumulato un esperienza di gioco importante e soprattutto non ho ancora studiato in modo approfondito le caratteristiche dei vari fiends incontrabili in gioco.
Infatti ogni fiends ha dei punti forti e dei punti deboli e la scelta delle torri nei tornei è fondamentale per ottenere dei punteggi alti.
Nel torneo di ieri ho ricevuto solo 1.84 SPS come premio perchè mi sono posizionato al posto 77 della classifica giornaliera.
Le prime posizioni della classifica giornaliera ricevono dei premi in SPS molto interessanti.
Infatti nel torneo di ieri 22 luglio 2024 il giocatore @delegat è arrivato al primo posto con uno score=16953 ottenuto in 1 tentativo e ha ricevuto 683 SPS.
Oggi, 23 luglio 2024, 683.62 SPS hanno un valore (highest bid) = 19.85 SWAP.HIVE = 4.38$
Io riesco spesso a completare con successo tutti i waves del torneo ma non sono mai arrivato nella top 20 della classifica giornaliera e per questo motivo ho fissato proprio l'entrare nel top 20 della classifica giornaliera della league 2 come il mio obiettivo di breve termine su Soulkeep.
