It's time to expand my Chaos Legion card collection in Splinterlands again and today I decided to open 3 more Chaos Legion packs.
I recently set myself the goal of building a card collection in the game Splinterlands so that I don't have to rent them and among the various editions that exist in the game, I decided that the best one to start with would be the Chaos Legion edition since this edition can be used in both Modern and Wild formats and also because it is the cheapest edition currently.
To expand my Chaos Legion collection I am keeping an eye on the prices of cards on the market and bidding to try to get the cards at the best price, but I also open Chaos Legion packs sometimes because I find it fun to open packs and I like to test my luck.
To buy the Chaos Legion packs, I went to Hive Engine and bought each one for 0.814 Swap.Hive. Buying the 3 Chaos Legion packs I spent 2.44 Swap.Hive which is the equivalent of $1.02 at the current Hive price.
After buying the packs, I just need to transfer them to my Splinterlands account and open them.
Remember that it is always good to use Alchemy potions and Legendary potions when opening the packs because it will increase your chances of getting Gold Foils and Legendary cards.
Alchemy potions increase your chances of getting Gold Foils when opening packs.
Legendary potions increase your chances of getting Legendary cards when opening packs.
Gold Foils and Legendary cards are the most expensive in Splinterlands, so increasing your chances of winning them is always a good thing, and Gold Foils give you a 10% bonus in ranked battles when used in battle.
This time, in addition to getting good cards, I also got 1 Gold Foil card and 1 Legendary card, but unfortunately, the total value of the cards is lower than what I paid for the 3 packs, so I ended up losing money.
Despite losing money, the cards I won will be very useful in my collection, and I like to think long-term, so if Splinterlands returns to its golden age and the cards start to appreciate again, I will have made a profit, but until that happens, I will use these cards to increase my collection in the game to earn SPS in ranked battles.
In addition to the Chaos Legion edition, I'm also focusing on the Gladiator cards and the current Soulbounds cards, since I can build a collection with them by spending only Glint and Merits.
For now, I'm taking it slow and building my collection little by little, and I plan to have a large number of evolved cards in the next few months in Splinterlands.
