I confess that today I was a bit short of ideas.
All I had to do was open Facebook and read a statement by the president of the Calabria region (all written in lowercase on purpose) to get the inspiration I needed.
Politicians say a lot of bullshit, there would be plenty to write about for years!
The statement is this, the following image was taken from my PC with a Screenshot and the article in question was published on Citynow online newspaper of Reggio Calabria...
For foreign friends I summarize in simple words: the president said that he would prefer to be operated by a Cuban doctor rather than a Calabrian one; this statement arises from the lack of personnel in the Calabrian health company which, to be resolved, saw the region call Cuban doctors to come and fill the vacant positions.
Let me start by saying that I have nothing against Cuba and Cuban doctors.
These doctors are also present at the hospital in Reggio Calabria and I am sure that they are very good, but the first thing that catches the eye, or rather the ear, is that they do not "speak" a word of Italian.
You will understand that for a patient everything becomes very difficult, especially when it comes to emergencies.
If you are wondering, in Reggio Calabria there are few people who speak English and, certainly, most of the elderly people do not speak it.
To this great "Dickhead" of the president of the Calabria region I would like to answer that my Wife and My Son were saved by the foresight of a doctor from Reggio, a gynecologist to be precise.
While at the emergency room in my city they were sending us home, at four in the morning, telling us that everything was fine and everything was fine, this doctor and dear friend of mine at four ten in the same morning ordered me to get in the car with my Wife and go immediately to see him at the hospital for some tests because at the emergency room, according to him, they were making a mistake.
We get in the car, I drive as if I were Schumacher in the good old days (if the police had stopped me they would have definitely taken away my license), when we arrive at the "Fate Bene Fratelli" hospital in Rome they take my Wife and let me see her again after about two hours.
She had given birth urgently, in 21 minutes, assisted in the birth by this doctor and a team of 9 other people, some of whom were Calabrian and all born in Southern Italy.
At the end of everything, after seeing Reny and Samuele resting and well, the doctors confided in me that, if we had arrived even just 5 minutes later, my Son certainly would not have made it but my Wife would also have risked her life.
Some time before, talking to Giuseppe, because I like to give a name to the person who changed and saved the lives of my entire family, I asked him why he had decided to live and work in Rome rather than in Reggio Calabria.
Before answering, I'll give you a little context: this boy and his wife each own a house in Reggio and his wife, a pharmacist, could easily take her mother's place in the family pharmacy which was also owned but she preferred to go and work in a pharmacy in Rome.
You may ask: why?
Quickly said, both responded that, for their careers and for their professional growth and satisfaction, it was the only solution; especially for what concerned Giuseppe who, working in Reggio Calabria, would have had to deal with a pitiful situation, in dilapidated and dirty structures and with obsolete and sometimes even malfunctioning machinery at his disposal.
In these conditions, let's say that it is difficult to save lives and indeed, often at the hospital in Reggio Calabria, you enter vertically for a check-up and exit horizontally for a complication.
Yes, but horizontal, definitively!
As I said, I have nothing against Cuban doctors, who in any case make up for a lack of personnel due to the reckless management of the Calabrian health system; the situation in which the health system of my poor region and my equally poor city finds itself is due to the entire political class that governs our land and its total incompetence.
Whether they are politicians of the right, the left or belonging to some civic movement, one thing unites them all, total stupidity, ignorance and uselessness.
If public affairs were managed by chimpanzees instead of our politicians, I am sure that things would go better because, surely, monkeys would be able to obtain better results than those who govern us (and also those who are in opposition, let's be clear, since then it is up to them in turn to demonstrate how useless they are).
Now maybe it's better that I stop otherwise I risk writing a novel and, among other things, the more I write the more I get pissed off at the thought of the words of that idiot president of the Calabria region and, consequently, I risk becoming much more offensive than I have been up to now.
However, I am a gentleman so I avoid but, I assure you, that I could offend him in many ways, even very creative as well as bad.
Where do you live, are politicians so useless and incompetent?
Does the health system work well or is it like the Calabrian one?
In general, what do you think?
Let me know, if you like, your answers and ideas in the comments below.
I hug you!
Vi chiederete: come mai?
In generale cosa ne pensi?
Ti Abbraccio!
