Oneplus Oxygen OS 15 is coming but not for my Phone

Hello and namaste everyone

Oneplus is a popular mobile brand in India after Apple and Samsung. This is a mobile manufacturer brand that launches one flagship device every year. The good thing about the One Plus phone is that they maintain prices much lower as compared to Apple and Samsung but they provide high-end hardware. Maybe this is the reason why they are getting more customers for their devices and now they have also started making mid-level phones. Apart from their flagship series they also have a series called Nord which is for mid-level smartphones.

I have one plus 6 and it's a flagship device of its time. Now the latest flagship devices are One Plus 12 and 13 should also be launched in January twenty twenty five. So I know that my device is old and they have stopped giving any update to this. It's like the life cycle of my device is over but it's still using it. Oneplus has launched its latest Oxygen OS 15 and it's not for my device.

I am aware that this update is not from my device but I also wanted to check which devices will get this update. They will be providing this latest os update to all the devices from One Plus 10 onwards and some sort of Nord series phones. I have no idea about the models in their mid-range series but it is like before one plus ten no devices will get the update. Generally, they offer the updates for three years but recently they increased it to four years from 111 onwards.

Updates are necessary for the device to keep safe and running in better condition but it's been a long time for me to get the update. It is because the device has already completed its life cycle as per the company but I'm still using it. It is good and I can say that one plus device is good to use for the long term and it is worth investing money on their phones. I know that Apple phones are also reliable and even Samsung phones are but I have not used Samsung phones ever so I have no user experience with their phones. I have also used Apple which is good but then I switched back to Android because I don't like restrictions on the phone that Apple does.

I wanted to upgrade my phone during the Diwali sale but I changed my mind and I will think about it next year. I'm not a heavy user of a smartphone so my current phone which is one Plus 6 is working kind of. So I'm able to do all the tasks and whatever I do with a phone with this phone also. Phones are expensive and I do not want to spend money on the phone right now rather I will try to invest this money in something that can give me some value. I decided that I would invest some money in gold this Diwali rather than a phone because a phone is an asset that depreciates its value.

So it's final now that I'm not going to buy the phone this Diwali or this year. It's fine that my device is not good in the update because it is still working and I will think about the phone change next year. Maybe by that time, the crypto prices will be better and it will help me buy a better device. Maybe I can buy another one plus a phone but that is not decided yet because even the phone buying plan is postponed so I will see which one will be good for me and I am happy with my current phone which is doing all that is needed for me.

Thank you so much
Stay Safe
