Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge post. In this post, I will talk about Iza the Fanged card and my favorite strategy with Iza the Fanged, and more, as well as an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.

Iza the Fanged

Source

Iza the Fanged has the Sneak Ability and Scavenger Ability at level 1, and the Stun Ability at level 3. Iza the Fanged is a Legendary card in the Earth Unit and belongs to the Chaos Legion edition, and it only costs 4 mana.

  • Sneak Ability : Targets the enemy unit in the last position.
  • Scavenger Ability : +1 health and max health each time any unit is defeated.
  • Stun Ability : 50% chance to apply Stunned for one round after a successful attack. Stunned units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate.

LORE

Rumors spread in the villages that if you wander too far into the jungles of Azmare that you'll be snatched by Iza the Fanged. She does not use her fangs, or her teeth to grab you—but the very jungle itself. She'll drag you off to some deep cave and place you before her to serve as dinner or plaything, depending on her mood. It is a tale that parents use to keep their children close to home. It is laughed off by villagers and travelers as a spooky campfire story. But every year the disappearances continue, so the rumors persist.

Iza enjoys the rumors spread about her, although she would point out her appetite is not for children. Iza does not know where she came from, except that she was born with the heart of a serpent. Her earliest memories are of trees all around her, covered in snakes. Iza moves silently, almost invisible, within the jungle. The earth mana wraps around her and flows through her, enabling her to control vines, thorns, and trees. Iza does not need weapons, for she is the very jungle itself. She prefers to string her victims along and play with them, taking her time to render someone paralyzed with her fanged bite.

Iza will prey on anyone who enters her territory. She has a particular fondness for snatching men after peering at them from between the trees, sparking their interest. She grabs them with twitching vines and hauls them towards her cave before striking. The last thing her paralyzed victims see is a dark, plant covered cave, decorated with human bones.
For Source and More

Iza the Fanged costs only 4 mana and has both attack power and powerful abilities, making it a very special card for my team. I can say that it is one of the cards I use most in low-mana battles because it has both the Scavenger ability and Ranged attacks and only costs 4 mana. I can say that it is one of my favorite cards, especially in the Born Again and Little League rulesets.

In battles with the Little League ruleset, only Units and Summoners that cost 4 or less mana can be used, and Units that cost 4 mana usually have low health and are easier to destroy, which can cause Iza the Fanged's health to increase rapidly.

In battles with the Born Again ruleset, all units gain the Rebirth Ability, meaning that each unit must be destroyed twice in battle, so the Scavenger Ability can be very useful in this ruleset. And Iza the Fanged has both Ranged attacks and Sneak Ability in addition to her Scavenger Ability, which makes her very useful to the team and strategies in these types of battles. I can say that when used with a good strategy, it can be very effective in battles and very useful to the team. In the battle below I'll be talking about one of my favorite strategies with Iza the Fanged.

Iza the Fanged only has 3 health so she is very easy to destroy when she is the first target of enemies so I make sure she is not the first target of enemies and I usually put her in the middle positions in my team. And even though she won't be able to attack when she gets into the first position, I aim for her to have high health and determine my strategy accordingly, which both gives my team an advantage in battle and can stall the enemies attacking the first position. This is exactly why Iza the Fanged is one of my favorite cards in the Born Again and Little League rulesets. By the way, if her health is high when she gets to the first position, having the Tank Heal Ability in your lineup will be very useful.

Let's examine my favorite strategy with Iza the Fanged in a battle.

Battle Ruleset

  • Born Again: All units have Rebirth (self-resurrects once per battle with 1 health and 100% of armor; all magic debuffs are removed, and all magic buffs are reapplied; skips turn).
  • Even Stevens: You can only summon units with even mana costs.
  • Deflection Field: All units have Reflection Shield (0 damage from Blast splash damage and Punishment abilities—Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns).

My strategy

According to the ruleset of the battle, in this battle all Units will have the Rebirth and Reflection Shield abilities and only Units with even mana costs can be summoned. When I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player and took into account the rulesets of the battle, I could predict that the opposing player would choose Immortalis as the Summoner in this battle and I can say that I determined my strategy accordingly, but I still took every possibility into consideration. My main plan in this battle was to destroy the enemies with Katrelba Gobson, starting from the last position of the opposing team, but in order for my strategy to work well, it was necessary to destroy the opposing team before Katrelba Gobson took the first position, so I added Iza the Fanged to my team and put her in the third position in front of Katrelba Gobson, thinking that this would give Katrelba Gobson enough time to destroy the enemies. I also put Units with high health in the front positions and included the Tank Heal Ability in my lineup. I believed that this way I would have a better chance of winning this battle.

Battle Comments

Round 1

In the first round, Iza the Fanged not only cleared the way for Katrelba Gobson to destroy Supply Runner, but also increased her health by +1 thrice, which is exactly why I would say she is my favorite in such battles.

Round 2

In the second round, Iza the Fanged's health increased by +1 four more times, to 9. Also, my strategy was working as I wanted and Katrelba Gobson was destroying the enemies, this was also increasing Katrelba Gobson's stats.

Round 3

In the third round, Iza the Fanged took the first position, which was much earlier than I expected, but it wasn't a big problem because she now had 12 health and it wasn't going to be easy to destroy her.

Round 4

Round 5

Round 6

Katrelba Gobson was destroying at least one enemy in almost every round, while Iza the Fanged's health continued to increase. My strategy was working exactly as I wanted it to.

Round 7

Round 8

In the eighth round, all enemies were destroyed and my team managed to win the battle.

Battles with the Born Again ruleset can take a long time, so it was normal for this battle to last 8 rounds, but the fact that there were still 4 Units alive on my team at the end of the battle showed that my strategy was working quite well. The most interesting thing was that at the end of the battle Iza the Fanged had 18 health, considering that she had 3 health when she started the battle, 18 health is really high, which is exactly why I never hesitate to include her in my strategy in such battles. Iza the Fanged is truly an amazing card, and can be very useful when used with good strategy, and the battle above was a good example of this. My Iza the Fanged card is level 2 and I plan to upgrade it to level 3 soon, when I looked at the market right now I saw that it was being sold for around $0.5 which really surprised me because I didn't know it was that cheap so I will buy 3 more copies in the coming days and upgrade it to level 3. And once she gains the Stun Ability she will be even more useful, especially in the Heavy Hitters ruleset.
