Hello everyone, I hope everything is going well in your life and you are having a wonderful day. I had a great start to the new season and managed to unlock Gold II in the Modern format today. In the Modern format, the battles are much tougher at the beginning of the season, so I usually couldn't start new seasons very well, but I had a great start to the current season and if I can continue like this, I think I will be advanced to the Diamond League much sooner, I hope I can continue like this.
All players who unlock each higher league get a certain number of chest rewards, and it's really great to get extra rewards and it adds a different excitement to the game and increases the excitement of advancing to higher leagues. I got 8 Minor and 5 Major chest rewards for unlocking Gold II and here is what I got from the chests:
Wow, I got 6 Rare and 7 Common (one is Gold foil) Rebellion reward cards from the chests, if I remember correctly this is the first time I got so many cards from loot chests. I'm especially happy to have gotten a copy of the Commander Slade card because today I managed to level it up to level 4.
Commander Slade
Commander Slade is a really amazing card, thanks to its abilities it can be very effective especially against Units with physical attacks, so I use her very often. Today I upgraded it to level 4 and now it also has the Reflection Shield Ability, so it is now immune to Corrosive Ward, Thorns, and Blast. The Reflection Shield Ability does not take any damage from Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Thorns, Return Fire, and Blast splash damage. Also, I really needed the Reflection Shield Ability on the Water unit.

Giant Alpine Skink
Today I upgraded my Giant Alpine Skink card to level 5 and it now has the Phase Ability. I actually had the level 4 Gold Foil Giant Alpine Skink card so I wasn't upgrading the regular one, but I realized I would upgrade the regular one to level 5 and without hesitation I upgraded it to level 5 because I'm sure the Giant Alpine Skink with the Phase Ability would be much more useful.

Alpine skink are mostly found in the pine forests of the Northern Highlands and up to the alpine zone of the adjacent Agniavas. These enormous lizards grow to over six meters in length and have a thick, armored hide and preternatural agility. They make their dens in rocky cracks and crags and emerge to feed on plants, mountain goats, and other beasts… as well as the occasional adventurer who wanders too close.
My team is much more powerful now in the Water Unit.
I currently have 2280 rating and I need another 220 rating to advance to Gold I, if I can continue like this it will not be difficult to unlock Gold I but my main goal is to advance to Diamond League, let's see if I can do it. Splinterlands is a really amazing game and I really enjoy playing it, I love this game. If you haven't joined this fascinating world yet, I think you're missing out and I highly recommend you consider joining Splinterlands game.
