Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge post. In this post, I will talk about one of my Favorite Gladiator Isgald Vorst and more, as well as an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.
Isgald Vorst is a Gladiator with the Bloodlust Ability and the Opportunity Ability starting at level 1, and the Piercing Ability starting at level 6. Isgald Vorst is a Common Gladiator Card in the Water Unit and belongs to the Gladius edition and costs 5 mana.
- Bloodlust Ability : +1 to all stats after dealing a killing blow.
- Opportunity Ability : Targets the enemy unit with the least health.
- Piercing Ability : Damage in excess of the target's armor is applied to health.
LORE
Some people of ΛZMΛRÉ have been battle-hardened by the most brutal land in the known world, the Frozen Hell ice shelf of the north. The clan Vorst is the largest ice clan that has inhabited this frozen world, and a young lady named Isgald is their champion. Through years of enduring bitter cold every day and night, her skin has taken on an eerily beautiful shade of blue. Several other members of the Vorst clan have similar complexions, but because Isgald is one of the only Vorst clanspeople who has traveled outside of ΛZMΛRÉ, she has become known as the blue princess. She is in fact not a princess at all; residents of ΛZMΛRÉ recognize the power of no government nor royalty.
The small statured blue princess is a fierce fighter who requires minimal armor and weaponry to go up against foes that are much larger than her. Some say that her skin, in addition to being blue from the cold, is also hard like ice and difficult to penetrate with any blade. Isgald carries a short sabre that has been handed down through a long line of women in the Vorst clan and a small but indestructible shield said to have been crafted by the hands of the Frost Giant himself. I was already using Isgald Vorst a lot in battles because of the Bloodlust and Opportunity abilities, she is a gladiator who can be really effective in battles and can help me a lot in winning battles. And when I upgraded it to level 6, it gained the Piercing Ability and I can say that it is now much more effective in battles.
Opportunity Ability targets the enemy unit with the least health, and the Piercing Ability deals the remainder will damage the target's Health if the attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor. Therefore, when these two abilities are combined, destroying enemies (considering they have low health) becomes much easier, which is exactly why Isgald Vorst has become my favorite Gladiator. And Isgald Vorst also has the Bloodlust Ability, making her a very special Gladiator because every time she defeats an opponent, she gets +1 to all of her stats, thus becoming more dangerous as the battle goes on.
Isgald Vorst can help my team a lot in both ranked battles, tournaments and Brawl, so I highly recommend having the level 6 Isgald Vorst card. Also, in Brawl, I have no doubt that Isgald Vorst will be incredibly effective when used with Summoner Possibilus the Wise, so I will be upgrading my Possibilus the Wise card to level 3 this month or next. I can't wait to use this combo in Brawl. I hope to publish a detailed post about this combo in the coming months.
Let's examine a battle that I think will be a good example of some of what I said above.
- Target Practice : All units with magic and ranged attacks have Snipe (magic and ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position).
- Ferocity: All units have Fury (deals double damage if the target has Taunt).
- What Doesn’t Kill You : All units have Enrage (+50% melee power and speed if not at full health, rounded up).
**Snipe ** : Magic and ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position.
Fury Ability : Deals double damage if the target has Taunt.
Enrage Ability : +50% melee power and speed (rounded up) if not at full health.
According to the ruleset of the battle, all Units in this battle will have the Snipe Ability, Fury Ability and Enrage Ability. I believed that Units with melee attacks would be more effective in this battle and I can say that I determined my strategy accordingly. I knew that Isgald Vorst in particular would be very effective in this battle, so I added her to my team without hesitation. Since all Units have the Snipe Ability, I also included the Martyr Ability in my lineup and put it in the fourth position so that it will be the first target for enemies with magic and ranged attacks. In particular, I put it adjacent Isgald Vorst and Deeplurker.
Round 1
The best and most fun part of this battle was that I was paired with my guildmate. Splinterlands is truly an amazing game, it not only lets us have fun but also allows us to interact with our friends. My guildmate's strategy was also really good, to be honest, if I didn't have Isgald Vorst in my team, my chances of winning this battle were very low, luckily Isgald Vorst was in my team.
In the first round, the opposing team was more effective, especially since all units in the opposing team had armor, making it difficult to destroy them, but as I mentioned above, armor doesn't do much against Isgald Vorst, so Isgald Vorst destroyed the Time Mage in one hit, despite having armor.
Round 2
Isgald Vorst is really hard to survive against, especially if its stats are increased, and she also destroyed Pelacor Arbalest in the second round.
Round 3
Round 4
Round 5
Isgald Vorst destroyed Uraeus in the third round, Celestial Harpy in the fourth round, and Venari Crystalsmith in the fifth round, meaning she destroyed one enemy in each round, this battle clearly showed how effective Isgald Vorst could be in battles.
The battle lasted 5 rounds and my team managed to win the battle against a pretty powerful team. And at the end of the battle, Isgald Vorst had 10 melee attacks, 11 Speed, 9 Armor, and 11 Health, which was admirable.
Isgald Vorst can really be very effective in battles and can be much more effective when used with a good strategy, as we saw in the battle above. Since she has low health, she can be easily destroyed if she is targeted by enemies early in the battle, so I highly recommend that you make sure she will not be targeted by enemies. I am especially careful to make sure that Isgald Vorst is not the first target of the enemies, and I can say that I adjust my lineup accordingly.
If you have any questions about abilities, rulesets, the battle above, and Splinterlands, please feel free to ask and I'll be happy to answer them.
