For today's post, I want to share a Battle Challenge using Elanor Bravefoot. This card is one of the newest promo cards in Splinterlands and is especially useful in low mana battles. Although the sale of this card in the Hall of Legends has ended, you can still obtain one from the Market. Elanor Bravefoot is a Legendary Neutral unit. At max level, it has the abilities Weary, Blasphemy of Uul, and Strengthen.

  • Weary: Each round, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%.
  • Blasphemy of Uul: Permanently gains +1 ranged power for each allied card named Fiend.
  • Strengthen: All friendly Units have their Health increased by 1.

Battle Configuration

For this battle, here are the specific rulesets and a mana cap to consider:

Mana Cap: 17
Active Elements: Fire, Earth, Life, Death and Dragon
Active Rulesets:

  • Keep Your Distance: Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.
  • Blood and Sunder: All units gain Corrosive Ward.
  • FabFour: Up to Four Units can be used.

Summoner: General Sloan

  • This summoner gives +1 Range attack to all allied units. Since Elanor is also a Ranged unit, its attack power will also increase by 1.

Position 1: Pelacor Conjurer

  • For low mana battles, this card is the perfect monster in position 1 with its Fyling, Magic Reflect and Phase abilities.

Position 2: Elanor Bravefoot

  • I placed this card in Position just in case it became Weary and unable to attack, it still has the purpose of defending the attackers behind it.

Position 3: Venari Crystalsmith

  • I put this card in Position 3 to support Pelacor Conjurer by using its Tank Heal ability.

Position 4: Pelacor Arbalest

  • This is my main attacker and position at the farthest so that it can deal the that much damage to the enemy.

Strategy:

The strategy here is to overpower the enemy in terms of attack output. Most of the monsters are ranged attack monsters and will benefit from General Sloan's +1 Ranged attack. Hopefully all the enemy will be defeated before my ranged monsters moved to Position 1.

Let's Rumble

The enemy used Thaddius Brood to summon Death elements to the battlefield. The enemy line up is a combination of no-attack, magic and ranged attack monsters.

Let the battle begins!

My strategy proved to be quite effective. Initially, I thought I was going to lose because of the enemy's poison ability, but luckily it didn't take effect. Elanor Bravefoot was a huge asset in this low mana battle, dealing extra damage and even landing the final blow on one of the enemies.
