1-Click set rentals it's almost perfect for newcomers
As many may know by now, I am not an active Splinterlands player. However, every now and then some news comes along from the development team that makes me waver and go back to trying to play. The introduction of 1-click rental is certainly one of these.
New players venturing into the world of Splinterlands often ask themselves a crucial question: how to get the first cards to achieve early victories? Furthermore, the dilemma arises as to whether it is more convenient to purchase or rent monsters to upgrade them and compete at appropriate levels, especially in minor leagues such as Bronze and Silver.
It is undeniable that both Splinterlands and Hive are going through a particular period. The staff had to present a DHF proposal to obtain financial support from the community, while Hive suffered a decline in its value, despite the BTC Bull Market period and the arrival of Ethereum ETFs.
We need more participation and ease of access and the 1-click rental of Splinterlands will certainly make it easier for new players to get started and, we hope, discover Hive.
By clicking on the 'Market' icon at the top left, you access a bar of options. In third place we find 'Set Rentals', which allows us to access both the 'Rental Listings', where we can choose a complete deck of cards to rent with a single click, and the 'Create Set' section, where we can create our own deck of cards to rent to other players.
Currently, this feature only affects Chaos Legion editions and non-Soulbound Rewards cards. However, I expect that many more rental options will soon be offered with this formula.
The rental can be paid in DEC or CREDITS and ends automatically at the end of the Season. Rental prices don't seem very high and I don't rule out that at the beginning of the season you may find many more rental offers. I find this function very intelligent, suitable for beginners, convenient and quick. It would have been perfect if, in addition to the rental payment, it alternatively allowed the sales to be split between the renter and the owner. I believe this would allow a new player to not have to invest anything at all to get started, except for the spell book and build their path in Splinterlands simply by playing.

Come molti ormai sapranno, non sono un giocatore attivo di Splinterlands. Tuttavia ogni tanto arrivano delle novità da parte del team di sviluppo che mi fanno vacillare e tornare a provare a giocare. L'introduzione del noleggio 1 click è sicuramente una di queste.
Spesso i nuovi giocatori che si avventurano nel mondo di Splinterlands si pongono una domanda cruciale: come ottenere le prime carte per ottenere vittorie iniziali? Inoltre, sorge il dilemma se sia più conveniente acquistare o noleggiare mostri per potenziarli e competere a livelli adeguati, soprattutto nelle leghe minori come quelle Bronze e Silver.
È innegabile che sia Splinterlands che Hive stiano attraversando un periodo particolare. Lo staff ha dovuto presentare una proposta DHF per ottenere supporto finanziario dalla comunità, mentre Hive ha subito una flessione del priprio valore, nonostante il periodo di Bull Market di BTC e l'arrivo degli ETF su Ethereum.
Serve più partecipazione e facilità di accesso e il noleggio 1 click di Splinterlands sicuramente faciliterà i nuovi giocatori ad iniziare e, speriamo, a scoprire Hive.
Facendo clic sull’icona ‘Market’ in alto a sinistra, si accede a una barra di opzioni. Al terzo posto troviamo ‘Set Rentals’, che ci permette di accedere sia ai ‘Rental Listings’, dove possiamo scegliere un mazzo di carte completo da affittare con un solo clic, sia alla sezione ‘Create Set’, dove possiamo creare il nostro mazzo di carte da affittare ad altri giocatori.
Attualmente, questa funzionalità riguarda solo le edizioni Chaos Legion e le carte Rewards non Soulbound. Tuttavia, mi aspetto che presto molte altre opzioni di noleggio verranno offerte con questa formula.
Il noleggio può essere pagato in DEC o CREDITS e termina automaticamente alla fine della Season. I prezzi di noleggio non sembrano altissimi e non escludo che ad inizio stagione si possano trovare molte più offerte di noleggio. Trovo questa funzione molto intelligente, adatta ad i neofiti, comoda e rapida. Sarebbe stata perfetta se oltre al pagamento del noleggio, permettesse in alternativa di dividere le vendite tra noleggiatore e proprietario. Credo che questo permetterebbe ad un nuovo giocatore di non dover investire proprio nulla per iniziare, se non per lo spell book e costruire il suo percorso in Splinterlands semplicemente giocando.
