SPS Token: do you know that you can delegate?
As some know, I'm not an active @splinterlands player. I don't have a large enough card collection to do that and it takes time to do it competitively, which I don't have. However, Splinterlands remains the game that brought me to Hive and I am fond of it. I also consider it the most important game developed on this Blockchain and the team has always worked well to try to give value to the SPS token.
My situation
I have just over 10,200 SPS staked on Splinterlands. These allow me to obtain:
- VOUCHER token as a staking reward
- SPS token as a staking reward
- COLONY token as a staking reward
These are small rewards at the moment, but they must be added to those obtained in the past and which in turn have given further cascading rewards. I think of the airdrop of GLX tokens which then allowed me to have COLONY tokens in the airdrop.
However, I am always looking for new forms of efficiency, that is, new ways to get more from what I have and today I want to write about one that I have found for a while and is giving me small satisfactions.
Delegate SPS
The recent introduction of the Wild Pass in the Splinterlands Wild Format also brought with it the doubling of the SPS requirements in Staking. That's quite a leap!
It means that to maintain the same level of rewards you need to have more SPS in staking, or obtain a delegation from another player. As? Well, renting some SPS Power from him.
Let's do the math
Currently the SPS Power market has the best offers of 0.003 DEC for each SPS delegated per week. At this price level, which has proven to be quite stable in recent weeks, delegating an SPS for one year earns 0.003 x 52 = 0.156 DEC
If I go to Hive-engine I see how the price of 1 DEC is 0.00318301 SWAP.HIVE, while the price of an SPS is 0.3810076 SWAP.HIVE.
We therefore convert the annual reward from delegation into SWAP.HIVE, i.e. 0.156 x 0.00318301 = 0.00049655 SWAP.HIVE
We can therefore calculate the APR of the delegation which is: 0.00049655/0.3810076 = 0.13%
A truly poor performance
What I do
Although small, this yield is still an area of efficiency that I can cover. My choice is to get a few DECs weekly, with which I can then go and purchase some inexpensive Legendary Splinterlands Cards to get the extra bonus in AFIT that Actifit recognizes me.
Conclusion
SPS delegation is a great feature if you have staked tokens that you don't want to do anything with. If you have them parked there, remember to delegate them every week to get some DEC. They won't change your life, but you might as well put them to good use. By reinvesting them or maybe buying some paper.
If you are an active player, however, you should use them to get better rewards, but if you have an excess share, well, why not delegate that?
SPS Token: sai che li puoi delegare?
Come alcuni sanno, non sono un giocatore attivo di @splinterlands. Non ho una collezione di carte sufficiente per esserlo e serve tempo per farlo in maniera competitiva, cosa che non ho. Splinterlands però rimane il gioco che mi ha portato su Hive e gli sono affezionato. Lo ritengo anche il gioco più importante sviluppato su questa Blockchain e il team ha sempre lavorato bene per cercare di dare valore al token SPS.
La mia situazione
Ho poco più di 10.200 SPS in stake su Splinterlands. Questi mi permettono di ottenere:
- Token VOUCHER come reward dello staking
- Token SPS come reward dello staking
- Token COLONY come reward dello staking
Si tratta di piccole ricompense al momento, ma vanno sommate a quelle ottenute in passato e che a loro volta hanno dato ulteriori ricompense a cascata. Penso all'airdrop di token GLX che mi ha permesso poi di avere token COLONY in airdrop.
Sono però sempre alla ricerca di nuove forme di efficienza, cioè nuovi modi per ottenere di più da quello che ho e oggi voglio scrivere di uno che ho trovato da un po' e mi sta dando piccole soddisfazioni.
Delegare SPS
La recente introduzione del Wild Pass nel Wild Format di Splinterlands ha portato con se anche il raddoppio dei requisiti di SPS in Staking. Questo è un bel salto!
Significa che per mantenere lo stesso livello di ricompense serve avere più SPS in staking, oppure ottenere una delega da un altro giocatore. Come? Bè, affittando dello SPS Power da lui.
Facciamo due conti
Attualmente il market di SPS Power ha come migliore offerte 0,003 DEC per ogni SPS delegato alla settimana. A questo livello di prezzo, che nelle ultime settimane si è dimostrato abbastanza stabile, delegare un SPS per un anno fa guadagnare 0,003 x 52 = 0,156 DEC
Se vado su Hive-engine vedo come il prezzo di 1 DEC sia di 0,00318301 SWAP.HIVE, mentre il prezzo di un SPS è 0,3810076 SWAP.HIVE.
Convertiamo quindi la ricompensa annuale da delega in SWAP.HIVE, cioè 0,156 x 0,00318301 = 0,00049655 SWAP.HIVE
Possiamo quindi calcolare l'APR della delega che è: 0,00049655/0,3810076 = 0,13%
Un rendimento davvero misero
Cosa faccio io
Per quanto piccolo, questo rendimento è comunque una zona di efficienza che posso andare a coprire. La mia scelta è quella di ottere settimanalmente qualche DEC, con cui poi andare ad acquistare delle Carte Splinterlands Leggendarie poco costose per avere l'extra bonus in AFIT che mi riconosce Actifit.
Conclusione
La delega di SPS è una funzione ottima se avete dei token in stake di cui non vi fate nulla. Se li avete li parcheggiati, ricordatevi ogni settimana di delegarli per ottenere qualche DEC. Non vi cambieranno la vita, ma tanto vale metterli a frutto. Reinvestendoli o magari comprando qualche carta.
Se siete giocatori attivi, invece, vi conviene usarli per avere ricompense migliori, ma se detenete una parte eccedente, bè, perchè non delegare quella?
