Hello everyone, this season in Splinterlands I decided to do a little experiment to see if I can get into the top 50 and earn some DEC on the leaderboard.
For this experiment I decided to do 2 things. The first was to rent 1,100,000 SPS to get a good amount of SPS and Glint in battles, so if I don't get into the top 50, I'll be able to recover part of my investment. The second was to rent as many cards as possible at maximum level, unfortunately I couldn't rent all the cards in the game because the cost would be extremely high and even if I got a good ranking it wouldn't make up for the costs unless I got into the top 3, but I decided not to risk it so I rented in total about 90% of all the cards in the game at maximum level.
I won't show all the cards I rented, but in the image above you can see that there were a lot of them. If you're curious to do this experiment or to know all the cards I rented, I'll leave the decks public so you can see or rent them too.
I also rented a good amount of Gold Foil cards from the Chaos Legion edition because they were at a low price and it would help a lot with my earnings since I would receive bonuses for them.
You were probably scared by the rental price, but that's not the amount I paid. It seems that after I rented the cards the price increased a lot, so I'll leave the exact amount I spent to have all these cards.
The total amount was 17,746 DEC for 2 days of rental. I probably won't use them all, but since I'm doing an experiment, I decided to rent as many cards as possible.
My current league is Champion 1 and I have 4360 points and so far I have had 257 battles of which I have won 151 and I am in position 60 on the leaderboard.
With 1,100,000 SPS rented my bonus is x11.79, the base value is x10.53 + 12% that I receive from my guild.
This bonus will still drop because in Splinterlands it is counted up to 5000 points, so if I want to keep it like this, I will have to rent more SPS.
I forgot to mention before but this experiment of mine is happening in the Wild format.
For those who are curious about the gains I will leave a picture with the biggest gain in a single battle that I have had so far.
It was 14.52 SPS and 2683 Glint. Currently, my earnings are varying between 10 SPS and 14.52 SPS and the amount of Glint is from 1800 to 2683.
Since I am earning a good amount of Glint and I want to at least recover my investment, I decided to open 30 Ultimate Chest, 150 Major Chest and 300 Minor Chest. This way, I will get a good amount of energy and the more battles I have, the greater my chances of entering the top 50 and I will also earn more SPS to recover my investment.
To open all the chests, I will spend 345,000 Glint, but first I will leave an image showing my current amount of energy and also my earnings in Glint this season after 257 battles.
There were 151 victories and I started this season in the diamond 2 league. Now let's go to the chests, but since it is a very high amount, I will only show the best earnings in them.
In the 30 Ultimate Chests I only got 19 energy, but I got 2 legendary cards and 2 epic Gold Foil cards.
In the 150 Major Chests I only got 27 energy, but I also got 2 legendary cards.
In the 300 Minor Chests I got 21 energy and I didn't get any epic or legendary cards, just some common and rare Gold Foils.
After opening all the chests I have a total of 68 energy now, I also have 40 more hours until my cards are rented so I will have at least 100 energy to spend and I hope to be able to climb the leaderboard with this, although it won't be enough because according to the latest rankings, to be in the top 50 I will need to have at least 5000 points, but since there are still almost 8 days left until the end of the season, then maybe I can get in.
