It's funny to seeing that our pretty girl @ninythailand did make a post of her trip in Kyoto on liketu this morning because I am going to make a post of my trip in Kyoto on liketu today either.
I couldn't remember when did we go to Kyoto from Osaka, maybe it's the 3rd day of our visit...em...porbably...we took high speed train from Osaka to Kyoto which was taking us less than 2 hours to get there, our first destination in Kyoto was Kinkakuji Temple (金閣寺) in Arashiyama (嵐山)
As you might know that the Taxi in Japan is crazy expensive, therefore we didn't directly took the taxi from the High Speed Train station to the Kinkakuji Temple, we took the bus instead. It was our first time to take the bus in Japan, fares were not cheap still, it's about 140 yen per person for just few stations as we need to interchange for the other routes in Kinkakuji-mae.
We didn't jump into the bus while we arrived Kinkakuji-mae, we walked around there and took some picture before we head to Kinkakuji temple, the street had quite a lot people as it was school-down time, many students were leaving the school and waiting for the bus to go home at that time.
My wife saw that there was s ice cream shop selling gold powder ice cream, unfortunately the staff told us that the gold powder was sold out at that moment, we could only get the ordinary green tea flavor.
It's time for us to go Kinkakuji temple after we done for the ice-cream, it was a bit confuse which route should we take, I had check on Google which route is the best way to go to the temple somehow there was no such route on site, so I was a bit headache on it, and I did ask some students which route should we take to the temple and they told us they had no idea as well...sounds the local people had no interested to visit the temple.
Then I told my wife just don't give a shit to the route, we simply get on the next arriving bus and ask the driver if that route can go to the temple is ok. I am so smart, when the next bus arrived, I jump into the bus to ask the driver and he confirmed us this route can get there but not exactly drop off at the main entrance of the temple, that's ok, we can use Google GPS navigation when we are nearby.
