Hello. We recently visited the National Technical Museum in Prague. Collections from various fields such as photography, printing, transportation industry, military affairs and astronomy are displayed here. We first passed through the photography salon where we were captivated by the presentation of the photographic equipment of that era. A wide range of technology collection, including the first model of a camera, enriched with old photographs taken with this technology is exhibited here.

Next we passed through the main hall, which was the most interesting because it showcased airplanes, starting from the earliest flight attempts and efforts to learn to fly. There were also older model locomotives. The exhibitions along the walls include various bicycles, motorcycles, motorbikes and other modes of transportation.

This hall houses a large collection of transportation vehicles and we saw cars used in past centuries. Some examples belonged to famous political and cultural figures. Certain items like the first Czech airplane, were displayed here. And many antique bicycles, motorcycles and steam trains were quite remarkable.

The most interesting section for me was the one with the giant steam locomotive on the ground floor. Numerous rare automobiles were also on display. Exhibits included Skoda's current production cars as well as some discontinued models.

The main aircraft exhibition was located on the top floor. There was also an exhibition on the history of printing, explaining the evolution of printing and its history. Some items displayed were rare pieces from the museum's collection and visitors could observe real printing mechanisms in action. Unfortunately we couldn't see how some machines operated because we didn't have a guide or couldn't find one. Perhaps going with a guide would have allowed us to understand how some machines work.

There is also an astronomy museum where modern observation tools and devices from past eras are showcased. We also explored an architectural exhibition featuring miniature replicas of famous buildings in the country. It was fascinating to observe how the city has changed over time.
