Cistus monspenliensis is a plant that grows as a shrub. Here where I live, it can be found on the stony terrain near the sea.
The plant produces a multitude of beautiful white flowers early in the springtime.
But all the photographs in this post were taken in the last days of June. The springtime was ending. It was hot, and it felt like summer already ...
.... so you won't see any flowers here ...
.... only a nice combination of green leaves and reddish-brown dedicated twigs that, a month or so earlier, were holding the flowers.
I like that combination of shapes and colors, so I took a couple of shots on my walk along the coast.
So you won't see any flowers here ...
... but only the green leaves and reddish-brown, dried-out twigs that were holding the flowers in the month of May.
This is a short post about just one plant.
Maybe a couple of photographs with accompanying text will be repeated because something wasn't working properly while uploading. O so it looked. I don't know. We'll see when the post is published.
AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.
