Here you can see the most beautiful and impressive piece of non-sacral architecture in the village called Tar. The year 1784 is engraved above the main entrance so I suppose that the palace was built back then, in the 18th century. I drove 80 km to Tar.

This is the interior of the Euphrasian Basilica in the small city of Porech. The old church from the sixth century has for the most part retained its original shape and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I had to drive 70 km to visit Porech.

Here you can take a look at an old building that was also photographed in Porech. This is zhe Zuccato Palace. One of the well-preserved palaces in Venetian Gothic style.

Here you can see a detail from the village called Sveti Lovrech. The surreal stairway made me think of the Led Zeppelin song. You know, that extremely great and iconic one. There's a tra la la la ... and so on. This was part of the Venetian fort.

Here you can see the interior of St. Martin's Church in Sveti Lovrech. Some of the wall paintings date from the 11th century when the church was built.

Here you can see the organ in St. Martin's Church. I had to drive 55 kilometers north of the place in which I live to reach Sveti Lovrech. All the places in this post are situated north of Medulin, my hometown. There is only the sea south of there.

This photograph was taken from the outskirts of the village called Kringa. Besides some ordinary houses, you can also see the church tower of the Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul. The church and the tower were built in 1787

This is a scene from the center of the village, not far from the church. Kringa is situated 60 kilometers north of where I live.

Here you can see the baroque Church of St. Euphemia in Rovinj. The pretty large building was slowly built from 1725 to 1736.

In this last photograph, you can see some buildings in the old center of Rovinj. Rovinj is a seaside city on the west coast of Istra. I had to drive 45 kilometers to get there. 45 kilometers north, of course. And that's it. Hope you enjoyed the tour.

I visited quite a few towns & villages and I photographed plenty of historic architecture in the last few months. In this post, I'll show you only a small collection of black & white shots from my day trips around Istra, the peninsula on which southern cape I live. Since similar color photographs will appear in the near future as part of a series of much longer and more detailed posts about the places I visited, this could be considered as some kind of monochrome teaser or trailer. Have a good viewing.

AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

Stumbled upon this and woah, wow, I don't know the right exclamation for this.
I've always been a huge fan of architecture, that should prolly be one of the reasons I decided to study a course revolving around it,lol. These look so amazing in black and white,I can't even think. It's beautiful 🖤🤍

Thanks. 🙂 Glad you like these photographs.

Nice photographs of the architectural

I always love seeing beautiful old buildings. You're one of those giving us with the lovely shots.

Those are wonderful monochrome photography. The design of buildings are looking so beautiful. Nice Blac and white photography

Wow - lovely shots, each one !

Thanks 🙂

Es una iglesia muy antigua, parece que el Cristianismo tiene varios siglos anclado en ese hermoso sitio.

Cool shots. B&W usually fits architectural pictures nicely, especially old medieval pieces :)

I still prefer buildings built from old maps to modern maps because those maps are much stronger and more beautiful to look at. The way the buildings are being built today has no strength at all. You have traveled 60 km and you have shown it all over the place. Thank you very much. We like it very much. Pictures look more beautiful if they are converted to black and white, just like the old movies we see in black and white.

We are so accustomed to the color that I look at, read and I think , this must be this color... and so are all the photos, however black and white makes everything look elegant, sober

what a nice tour! What great photos and recording. Thanks for sharing your experience!

All picture very amazing, but the most I love is the seventh one. The combination of small house and the big church is very extraordinary shoot. Blessing

Which car you are using to reach these places ? It should be hybrid or EV. Wonderful places to see.

Your the real definition of #movetoearn😂😂😂
Over 200km traveled in a post 😂😂

Monochrome is always so atmospheric, simply perfect for the inside of old churches (in my opinion). Amazing Photography as always 👍

I like the fact that you made these black and white. It brings out the details of everything. Something building have loud colours and makeing them black and white allows one to create a collection that fits well together. These are all beautiful buildings 😍😍

True 🙂good observation.
