Motovun is an old town with a well-preserved historic urban layout that dates from the middle ages.
There was a bit of mist in the valleys below.
Here I zoomed in a bit more.
My destination was the river about ten kilometers further, so after taking this photograph, I sat in the car and drove away.
A week or so ago, on the way to the river Mirna in the northern part of Istra, the peninsula on which I live, I stopped on the hill with a great view of the neighboring hill and the old town on its top. This is a short post about those couple of meditative minutes that I spent there. Ten minutes later, by the river, I took many more photographs but they will become a part of one of the future posts that will be more focused on plants and animals that live in that area.
