Hunger... is one of the reasons why I wake up early in the morning to cook and I have to say that today's menu is very special because it takes a long time to make and it takes a hours to eat. This menu, as it's called in Lao language, is "Tom Jaew Nuea Ngua ( beef soup with long eggplant fire)". How to make this menu? Let's go and see the cooking process.
It starts from bringing long eggplants , chilis , shallots , garlic to the fire tribe and cooked first, then pounded and set aside. Let me tell you that our long eggplant s is very fresh because I take it from the garden.
Then bring the beef to roast until fragrant and cut it into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
Then bring the pot to cook on the fire. Add water and put lemongrass to boil and bring to a boil, seasoning with fish sauce, salt, and seasonings as you like. Then put the beef and boil for 20 minutes until the beef is tender and tender, then add the golden needle mushroom and cover the lid and wait until the golden needle mushroom is cooked. Then add the long eggplant, chili, shallots and pounded garlic and put them aside and stir to combine, and the last step is to put the basil leaves into the pot is well done.
