How are you people? I am now officially having my On the Job Training (OJT). It's the final requirement for our graduation. We have a task to finish the training connected to our course, with a total of 600 hours. Surely, it will take me months of work, but I am so ready for this. Now, let me share my experience on my 1st day of training.
I am now in the Area Operations Management of ZAMECO II (which is an electric cooperative here in Zambales). But I will be transferred to the main office after two weeks of being here. The first thing I learned was to work on the Service Memorandum, which contains the complaints, reconnections, and other issues needed to be fixed by the area operators. I am the one who's arranging the papers and marking if the issue needs immediate action.
Also, aside from that, I was taught to learn the mapping. It was challenging at first since I had no idea how to use their mapping system. But my mentor did not hesitate to teach me everything I need to know. And finally, after hours of training me, I can do it all alone without his assistance.
They're also very kind to me, and making me feel like I belong here. It's just sad to know that I'll only have my training here for 1 week or more. One of them made a coffee for me too, which I found sweet. He also keeps calling me anak (means "my child"). These people are amazing to work with. And they make my training experience smooth and effective.
So, if you're wondering why I haven't been around, it's because I am now a trainee! :) See you around.
Câlins et bisous!
