The sky was almost clear this morning around here.
I wanted to approach the feathered friend that was in the dry trunk, but the undergrowth prevented me from doing so.
In the plumeria tree, I also noticed a couple of feathered friends.
And this was as close as I could get to capturing them in a pic.
This morning I had to leave the house early. I had to take my husband to a nearby location where he had a filming session in the early hours of the morning. The day dawned so sunny that I felt an urge on my way back home to spend some time admiring nature.
So I thought to go to a viewpoint near my house from where when the day is clear it can be seen El Avila in its splendor. I hadn't stopped there for quite a while. Sometimes I would go there during the lockdown or when I came back from taking my son to school, but those days are gone now.
When I parked next to the lookout point, I realized that my plan to view the mountain from there was difficult to fulfill. The undergrowth had taken over the place. There has been a lot of rain lately. I would say, too much rain, and in many parts of the country, there have been floods and landslides. And here, it was impossible to get close enough to the edge to appreciate the view.
The view of the mountain if you get close to the edge of the terrain on clear days is breathtaking. Some time ago, I posted some pictures here.
However, I got out of the car. I saw a feathered friend on the dry trunk, which I couldn't make out for sure what it was. But when it took flight, it looked to me like a sparrowhawk.
In a plumeria tree with little foliage, there were a couple of small birds. I couldn't get too close because I was afraid that a snake or something similar might come out of the undergrowth. But I still photographed them.
And although I couldn't get the pictures of the mountain that I wanted. The bit of time, looking at the clear sky and the fresh air, filled me with good vibes to start the week.
