This location is iconic and GTRs looks good no matter what, but this livery really sets this one off.
These rewards are getting out of control mate, consider forfeiting part of the post rewards when you knowingly post shorter posts like these so others don't have to downvote.
The GIF is a joke. I understand what you’re saying. Not much I can do about this one now since it’s already posted. You did your job. I’ll be sure to follow your guidelines next time I post something short like this. That or just provide something better than just a photo of one of my cars.
I guess it's kind of hard to know how much a post is going to end up making before setting a beneficiary towards the DHF or something. I just mean if it's more of a constant thing and you realize that they're all making a lot of hive/hp it'd be a nice gesture to forfeit part of it.
You make sense, not going to contest that. I don’t think you’ll have to DV again.
Please explain further when you get a chance. Is one post a day too much too now? Is two videos a day okay but not two posts on Liketu? Etc.
Not being snarky, I legitimately wish to know so that I don’t become the next person zero’d out on here and lose all motivation to create.
I see many people who post more than twice a day, I didn’t know my posts were now looked at as spam. @acidyo already told me that short posts like this one don’t deserve large rewards. I agreed to that and no more of them from me although I like sharing my screenshots of my cars since GT7s Scapes mode is fantastic. I get that some people blindly vote and did so too heavily on this one. Sadly there is no way to send a portion of my rewards to the DHF when using @liketu, not yet at least. Only option is to decline rewards totally which seems counterproductive to using Hive since the reward mechanism is what many people are told is a good reason to come here in the first place. I know there is also other things like account ownership, decentralization, immutability, and so on.
You may wonder why I am even using Liketu. I do so because it is a new app and not nearly as popular as some of the others. I think an Instagram/TikTok/OnlyFans-like application is more likely to be vastly popular than blogging, although both are important. Hive’s success shouldn’t rely on just one app to succeed, but many since this is an ecosystem full of different ideas.
As for self-voting which you commented about on another post of mine, I think that is an even messier subject for a few reasons. When the top author on Hive is a self-voter, it seems as though that would be a route towards success since they are clearly winning by doing that on all of their posts.
It would make zero logical sense for me to keep voting myself if someone else doesn’t like that action and will downvote me every time. I can easily stop that if it’s a major issue. What I don’t get is how community moderators will be able to fairly do this rather than targeting a few outliers. It’s far too easy for tech savvy users to move their HP to an anonymous account and then self-vote that way. Plus there are obviously others who self-vote with much more stake then I have and nobody bats an eye.
I know this kind of discussion can get long winded, but I’m happy to talk about it and adjust accordingly as to be beneficial to the community.
Currenly you are post 2-3post/day on hive (I don't care about other frontends, they all show up on hive for rewards). 1/day is just fine. You are well more than 1/day.
I have been doing 2 a day only. I can revert to 1 and stop self voting.
You made your point.
Sadly there is no way to send a portion of my rewards to the DHF when using @liketu, not yet at least.
You can just send liquid rewards to the hive.fund account directly at payout, so it's not like it's impossible. I think the thing here is that there is never an effort to make the rewards fairer on top of you also self-voting a lot of posts often 2-3 per day. Selfvoting in general isn't a bad thing and many may disagree with me that I'm even bringing it up but seeing as you are a well-rewarded creator, knowing some of your history of votetrading and creating a lot of daily posts you selfvote does come off a bit like you only care about maximizing rewards. Saying that downvotes will demotivate you to create is also a bit offputting to me to be honest.
In the last part of the comment you are comparing to others to justify your activity but somehow fail to mention that his posts produce a lot more engagement and are more content rich, even if they may get overrewarded at times and looking at his account it seems he is receiving some downvotes most likely due to being highest earner by a great margin.
It often just seems like maximization and farming is becoming the main objective, I voted up one of your posts about the airbnb cause I thought it was nice, but I wasn't expecting you to post another 6 posts in front of a few paintings taking selfies and making it a whole weeks project of content.
It just often feels like you're coming off with the wrong intentions to me lately.
Having said that I don't agree with authors being zero'd out, some may have their reasons to want to balance it out a bit with overrewarded content that may have already been paid out but over time I am someone who would step in and counter that activity if it keeps occurring as that's not adjusting rewards at that point and only trying to do harm.
Guess you have a point about just sending rewards away, didn't consider that. I don't have anything against other authors, I was just providing talking points. I understand that more engagement and longer posts are looked at as more valuable by many.
Any time something that I was doing has been frowned upon by somebody, I have always adjusted instead of continuing to do that same thing. Just like I plan on doing this time, although I do wish to still keep posting photos to Liketu since that is what I am enjoying right now, I'll just reduce the frequency a bit. I go through phases. Sometimes I like to write super long blogs, other times make videos, maybe gameplay, but right now I am doing a lot and photography is what compliments me getting out and about during the busy summertime. Should I be writing in greater detail when posting photos? Or just a fair bit and then let the photos speak for themselves?
To respond to that last part man, I guess you really just don't know me well enough to understand that I don't only care about myself. Obviously I want to succeed in life, but I also like seeing others happy and successful. I can easily stop self-voting, not going to hurt my feelings there. I felt reaffirmed about it recently whenever you tweeted about people who self-vote more than a few times a day being bad news or whatever, guess it depends on the content though. I wish there was more in-person Hive events so that personalities could be more easily understood though.
If we met in person I guarantee you'd have another opinion on whether or not I was humble or greedy. I've spent most of my life doing what I can for others and have never been the type to blow money on things I don't actually need. I've had the same car for 10 years and live in a crackerbox. I've let drug addict friends bum money off of me even when I knew I was being played. I don't want others to suffer. I feel as though my life is pretty frugal too. I get that in other countries my rewards would be a lot, but where I live I guess I just forget that the little bit that gets me by here is a lot more in other parts of the world.
As always I will happily have a friendly conversation like this anytime, even if the talking points poke directly at how I do things. I learned early that critique and communication are vital in life. If you don't like my photos just tell me I'm ugly dude 😜 but please don't talk bout muh gurlll 🤣 *thassa joke
