With how fast Yoshi is growing, I think he is preparing for another shed. He hasn't eaten as much today as normal and he is a bit irritable.

He has been growing super fast over the past few weeks and it is really taking a toll on him. I am expecting him to begin shedding in the next couple days.

I am going to be getting him some medium crickets tomorrow so he can have quicker snacks that are easier to digest as well because his diet of large crickets over the past few days has probably been part of the issue as well. I don't think he has the confidence in his abilities to eat the larger ones until he is too hungry. So some smaller ones will probably make him feel better.

I brought him out and held him for a while this morning. He is getting a lot more comfortable with me handling him, which is good. He used to just run and hide in his leaves whenever I opened the cage, but now he sits still and will climb towards my hand if I move it slowly to him.

It is pretty dumb how expensive wood is for reptiles too. I was looking at a new perch for him and they start at $70. That is because they are sandblasted and treated for micro organisms, which makes them safe for pet reptiles. If you find sticks outside and use those, you run the risk of getting your pet sick. So over the next week or two, I will be cashing out some Hive to buy him a nice branch to relax on because the smaller vines in his enclosure are getting a bit too small for him.

Overall, he is doing great. Hopefully he makes it through this next shed without any issues and continues to grow and be healthy.

I take him out and hold him every now and then. I don't think it is his favorite thing in the world right now, but he needs to be handled so he can be used to us.

Oh man he is on fire! He going to be bigger than an iguana soon lololol. It's the same thing with buying perches for our parrot, too.

Ya, he is getting pretty big. It will be so cool to see how big he gets.

what is the normal adult size for his type?

They can be up to 24 inches long.

oh nice that was a bit bigger than I was thinking. My grandson is already talking about a bearded dragon, but i think he still just a bit too young. Keep us posted on Yoshi!

Looks cooler. I hope he finds his new home soon and also his partner.

As you said, he used to be a little shy to interact with humans, but within a few days he was comfortable around humans, this has also happened to me when my pet was so depressed seeing humans approach him, and over time he would get used to it with humans to their environment.

I love that picture of his swirly tail. Makes me think he could hang off branches and twigs with it.

His little tail is the cutest. I caught him trying to stretch to some lower branches a couple days ago and he was holding on with just his tail as his little hands were stretching out for the next branch. He looked so funny reaching for it, so I put my finger in there for him to grab onto and get the next branch easier.

What amazing creature! Good point about the outside sticks too, don't use them! I just saw some Green Anoles when I went to Mississippi for a job. (This one had previously lost it's tail)

Ya, I have heard of some people that would bring in sticks for their pet snakes and then they would get a parasite between their scales or something and it would kill them.

He has the Chalky White look :)
