Early morning is always my favorite time. And today, to say goodbye to some of the volunteers who worked with me in the summer camp, I took the volunteers on an early morning cloud hunt.
We are living in the mountainous district of Kon Plong, Kon Tum province. Unlike most other regions of Vietnam, the weather here is cool all year round. And one of the things I like most about this is that we can very easily go cloud hunting in the early morning. With mainly mountainous terrain and many trees, in the early morning clouds gather a lot in the valleys.
Me and my friends had to wake up quite early at 5:00 am to be able to hunt the most beautiful clouds. Although it is a bit cold in the morning, the experience of driving in the early morning sunlight is very enjoyable. We chose to stop at a hill where we could look down at the valley of clouds below. We are lucky today the weather is really nice. There were so many clouds that it covered the whole valley. The sunlight shining through the clouds looked majestic.
We stayed there for hours looking at the sights, talking and taking pictures. My friends love being photographed. They did a lot of different poses. When we first started walking, everyone looked sleepy, but now everyone looks energetic and happy. These will be commemorative photos for them of their time here and volunteering. I hope they had a good time here and wish them all the best for their upcoming journey.
