Hiveautiful day, guys! How’s your week? Did everyone have a great week? I do hope you did.
As I was busy scrolling on my phone, I saw these photos. I remember I wasn’t able to blog about this special occasion. So, allow me to share this one-day getaway with all of you.
Babi’s birthday fell on a weekday, so we plan to celebrate it over the weekend. We arranged everything before leaving the City. Bought all the necessary stuff needed for our short trip. We visited Mama Mary of Simala at Sibonga first, then headed to Obong Spring at Dalaguete right after.
The Simala Shrine was filled with a crowd at that time, so it took us 30 minutes to get inside. It was almost lunchtime when we left and headed to our next destination which is the spring.
We already set a surprise for Babi. I cooked all her favorites. She didn’t have any hint about all the gestures we showed when we arrived in the spring. We were having a hard time looking for a parking space so I told them (Donna, Rj, Jed, and Sharon) to get a cottage first, but they already know what to do- to set everything! I asked her to just change our clothes in the car so it’ll take us some time before we get there.
Once they saw us walking towards the cottage, they started singing a happy birthday song. She just smiled the whole time and glanced at me. She was indeed surprised! Even though the cake was a bit deformed because of the long ride, still we were able to pull the surprise off.
My Babi was so happy, and so am I.
After having our lunch, we then took a quick dip in the spring. It was cold and so relaxing. We don’t want to get caught by the night on the road, so around 2 in the afternoon, we decided to go home.
It was indeed a wonderful and memorable day. Always so grateful for these people.
