Hiveautiful day, guys!
Allow me to share with you the details of our Oslob escapade last year. If you happen to read one of my posts late last year, I mentioned posting a blog about this trip, but due to a busy schedule last month, I wasn’t able to compose a blog about it. So, allow me this time.

Last December 10, 2022, I and my favorite people, Jerds, went to Oslob to celebrate Jed’s birthday. We were worried a few days before it because the weather wasn’t good. It rained the whole week. Still, we pursued the plan for Rj already made the reservation of the room. Jed prepared all the food needed for the trip.

Our call time was 7 am at the South Bus terminal and the bus left at around 7:30. It was 4 hours of land travel, so we arrived at our destination almost lunch already. We were all hungry. After checking in at the resort, we then prepared the food. Jed bought a lot of raw fish and meat. He wanted to make that day extra special and memorable. We didn’t know what to say. Imagine it was his birthday, instead of making the preparations and surprises by ourselves, he did all of it. He brought all the things needed.

Good thing that the resort has a kitchen and sink for guests. We rushed to the kitchen after we settled our things in our room. Sharon and Rj were assigned to grill the fish and pork. I cooked the garlic shrimp paste, while Donna and Jed prepared the dynamite lumpia. Since the birthday boy wanted a boodle fight set up, we looked for a banana leaf outside the resort. Luckily, I found one.

We manage to set the table as per the birthday boy’s wish. We weren’t able to bring balloons for the celebrant, so we just formed the rice as a birthday greeting. Haha, After taking a few photos, we then indulged in the food.

It was a sumptuous lunch indeed. We rested for a few hours then we headed to the beach around 3 in the afternoon. Took a couple of photos while taking advantage of the golden hour.

After a quick dip, we strolled along the shore. Then discussed our itinerary for the next day. Rj booked a spot for whale watching the next day. We ended our night with a glass of soju, then took our rest.

This is it, I guess, for the first part. Will be blogging for the second part at some other time.

Have a great week y’all!
