Tomorrow is the day my second son has his "farewell picnic" at his daycare and I have to make his lunch.
Since I had not yet bought the ingredients for his lunch, I went out shopping at night. Some of the cherry trees in the park are already in full bloom. I don't think they will last until the entrance ceremony season. I tried to take some pictures of the cherry blossoms illuminated by the street lamps, but I think it is better to see the cherry blossoms in person.
My son had asked me to put Japanese omelet in his lunch box tomorrow, but the first supermarket I went to had no more eggs left. I was aware that they were in short supply due to the bird flu and that prices had gone up, but I did not expect them to be sold out.
I had no choice but to visit another supermarket, but even there, the 10-packs were sold out. The only eggs left on the shelves were very expensive eggs, 158 yen for 4 eggs... Hmmm, expensive...!! But what's a bento without omelette...? So I bought two packs.
Tomorrow, my son's lunch box will contain a high quality egg omelet.
