At the end of March, my second son brought home a collection of artworks he had created at his daycare.
The teachers keep the pictures drawn by the children throughout the year and give them to us in a booklet at the end of the school year. It is quite thick and takes up a lot of space if I keep it every year, so I take pictures of them and discard it after I have enjoyed it for a while. The teachers tell me that my second son likes to draw and make things and always seems to enjoy working on them. I was impressed with the picture of the bullet train at the top, which was well drawn. But then, there was also a picture of a train with wheels that looked like insect legs... children's drawings are really interesting.
My second son still loves Splinterlands, and when the game screen is left open on my PC, he replays the battle history and looks at it intently. He also knows where the card abilities and battle rules pages are located on the site, and sometimes he opens them and clicks his mouse on them. When I peeked in to see what he was doing, I found that he was using the DeepL extension to read out the abilities explaination. No wonder he is so familiar with Splinterlands ... but how did he learn how to use a computer?
My second son will be five years old next week!!

前年度の終わりに、次男が保育園で制作した作品集を持ち帰ってきました。
年間を通じて描いた絵を先生が保管しておいてくれて、年度末に冊子にして渡してくれるのです。かなり厚みがあり毎年とっておくと場所をとってしまうので、しばらく楽しんだら写真を撮って廃棄することにしています。次男は描いたり作ったりするのが好きで、いつも楽しそうに取り組んでいると先生たちからは聞いています。一番上の新幹線の写真など、上手に描けているなーと感心してしまいました。かと思いきや、昆虫の足のような車輪の電車の絵もあったり。。子どもの絵は面白いですね。
次男は相変わらずSplinterlandsが好きで、私のPCでゲーム画面が開きっぱなしになっているとバトル履歴をリプレイして熱心に見ています。またカードのアビリティやバトルルールのページがサイト内のどこにあるかも知っており、時々その画面を開いて何やらマウスをカチカチしています。何をしているのかと思って覗いてみたら、なんとDeepL拡張機能の読み上げ機能を使ってアビリティの説明を読んでいました（笑）道理でSplinterlandsに詳しいわけだ・・・というか、どうやって使い方を覚えるのでしょうか。
そんな次男も来週で5歳になります！
