A very established saloon that stood over decades and still going strong. Almost everyone in my neighbourhood know this saloon. Many are loyal customers over decades.
The fringe was cut and trimmed first. She knows I want to tie my hair often so she purposely cut a fringe for that.

I'm almost done. Was checking the clock as I needed to rush for another class. I stole time in between classes to get this haircut done.

I for one super love to cur hair. I used to cut every 2 months because I don't like it when my hair starts to get a bit hard to be be managed. Whenever the fringe gets a bit longer, I will feel frustrated by it.
Having said that, I try to prolong my haircut frequencies from one to another. Reason being it is EXPENSIVE to cut hair here in Kuala Lumpur. I usually like to go with a wash and cut so it cost me RM70 the last round.
I used to have a hairstylist who charges a bit lower but she has moved her saloon and I couldn't locate so then I started experimenting with new saloons and stylists again until I decided to stay with De Salun.

This saloon has existed for decades and my mum-in-law has been frequenting it for decades too. My brother-in-law also goes to the same one so I thought let me try them again. I used to dye and highlight my hair once here after delivering the first baby.
The last visit gave me a very good impression on its wash and massage. They do quite an intensive head and shoulder massage for about 10 minutes on the scalp and then relaxing the neck as well. I mean I would like to have that kind of pampering after a long week of work. They will then continue the massage when we are asked to go to the sink to rinse off the shampoo and applied on the hair conditioner. I like that! It is so comfortable that I can doze off, that sort of comfortable!
The hair is then blown dry. This time she even taught me how to blow dry my fringe and the side hair as well as the back hair at home. Wow, so much to learn yet I usually have no time to blow dry my hair during weekdays hahha. I only blowdry my hair on Saturdays because ai am attending church the next day, oops!
Then the hairstylist I opted for is Grace. She cuts my hair skillfully and she has common topic with me as she is also a mother. Not over chatty which I like because sometimes I want to just relax when I get my hair cut. She cuts my fringe for me nicely but maybe slightly too short this time, making me look a bit too cute for my age.
At the end of the hair cut, she said, " See, now you look so young. Maybe I too should grow my hair and ask the senior hairstylist of this saloon to help me cut like your hair." hahahah that is funny.
I was charged RM60 instead of RM70 like the last round!
Maybe because as we chatted, she found out I'm the daughter-in-law of a very loyal customer and she cuts for my brother-in-law too, woohoo! I am so happy! A good haircut always changes my mood. NOw I need to get used to the new haircut like... Er... who is this I am seeing in the mirror?🤭🤭🤭
Well now you know why I like to cut hair. It is because I get a transformation of my look from the dreaded tired face to have back some vitality and youth! Expensive RM60 spent but I guess it is worth it once in a long time. I plan to cut the next round in 4 months time. I have difficulty growing long hair because I really cannot stand my hair when it reaches a certain look.
