It was after picking my son from school, and we needed to go to a nearby mall to shop for a birthday gift for a classmate that invited my cmson for her birthday party. However both of us had yet to have lunch because there was lunch prepared at home already, so I decided to just get a quick bite as I was famished. My son said he wasn't hungry.
So, coming out from the elevator, we saw this shop stood right in front of us!
Hot & Roll!
Hot & Roll has been around for some time actually in this mall too. It used to exist as just half a shop and as booths in other malls. So it was my first time seeing it having a whole shop as its own.
I am very familiar with their menu as I do grab this as a comfort snack-on-the-go if I am in a rush, which I usually am whenever I step into a mall. They have Sweet crepes, savory crepes, sweet paratha and savory paratha. Recently it seems thst they expanded their menu a little more too.
I ALWAYS go for their savory paratha after I tried it . In the beginning when they first opened, I tried their sweet crepes once or twice but after I tried their savory paratha, I have been stucked with that since. And I only order one flavour now without thinking which is the chicken and cheese flavoured savory paratha.
If you order a crepe, then you get to see them spreading a thin layer of their flour mix on the hot pan. It does requires skills to make it nice and smooth. If you order paratha, you only get to see them heating it up on the pan, nothing too fancy.
The shop
It is simple with some pictures of their food on the menu ok the wall. Nothing too complicated but tables and chairs which are good enough. At the hour I went, there was barely anyone so my son and I sat while waiting for my food to be done.
It costs me RM6.50 for that satisfying quick bite before we went on our hunting journey. It used to be cheaper but yeah, I understand that everything is going through inflation right now so the price increase is also reasonable.
