Happy 12th birthday to my eldest son, Jayden!
Time flies and soon, when the clock strikes 12am, my eldest son will be officially 12. He can't wait to be 12 to exclaim "I had lived 12 years in my life! Haven't counted the 40 weeks in mummy's womb!" He grew extra fast these few months too. 2-3cm more and will be same height as me. I don't think we should compete, because I am sure he will be way taller than me very soon.
I asked him what he wanted to eat. I gave him some suggestions of the few of his favourite food. For example, Carl's Jr burger, Pizza Hut or Domino's or delicious pasta at Nuts and Belle. Then, he suddenly announced he wanted none of those I mentioned but only wanted Korean Fried Chicken. I puzzled for awhile until I realised he recently likes BTS group. Oh...I see, because of that he wants to eat Korean Fried chicken, maybe... I was only guessing. 🤭
We listed down a few and he chose Chicken Plus.
Chicken Plus
We had one nearby us inside Melawati Mall. We also decided to invite families too. So Jayden will get to see his grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunties. It was not a big unit lot but comfortable enough for the community here for dining. At the entrance, there is all sorts of good display which looked so real to us.
Chicken Plus claimed to have one of the best fried chicken and I totally agreed. The Korean fried chickens were properly fried with delicious batter, crispy skin and still juicy flesh. And the chicken meat tasted delicious, unlike some fried chicken elsewhere where the chicken meat was tasteless.
The Korean fried chicken here has many flavours of coating. For the spicy version, they have hot shocking, crazy spicy chicken, mala chicken, yang-nyuem which is sweet and spicy. For non-spicy, they have creamy onion, sweet garlic, snowing cheese, soysauce, and basakan original.
UFO Chicken Set
The birthday boy has been cutting down on snacks and sugary stuff so he chose food rather than cake for celebration. Although he did not keen on putting candles and song, I still think it was a special occasion, let's!
So, we had a very simple birthday song and blowing candles with his UFO chicken set as his cake. Lol. This set consisted of 3 flavours of drummet/wings. Each flavor with 5 pieces, so altogether 15 pieces (to be shared), a deep fried sides, and carbonara teokbokki. He totally loved the fried chickens here. Great choice, Jayden!
Other food we ordered
Husband order 4 flavours of boneless chickens under non-spicy flavours for the table with more children as well as two bowls of Ramyeon for them. Also, two Korean pancakes for us all. And two sets of 4 flavours drummets/wings for the adults with some spicy flavours. I especially love the creamy onion because the sour cream onion was so delicious and appetizing. In fact, this flavour is the highly recommended one. Another one which was the mala flavour with peppery mala powder was super duper appetizing and full of kicks! Yummy!!
Jayden was extremely happy tonight, receiving his present and angpaos from people. We actually had bought him a second hand electric drumset which he received way earlier before his birthday. He was so happy with that present too. He is such a pleasant boy. When I met up with his teacher recently, the teacher remarked that she was so blessed to have Jayden around because he is a very caring and helpful boy, and good manners with some natural boy's mischief. I could not be more proud of him. Jayden boy, mummy daddy loves you very much!
