Once in a blue moon, I will have great appetite for whatever reason — it could be due to menstruation, it could be due to exhaustion or it could be body is needing some extra nutrients. So after the super late lunch at Shin Kee Beef Noodle which I had blogged in previous blog, I was feeling slight hungry. Therefore, my husband said maybe I needed more meat, we walked to another side of Petaling Jaya to get our cravings satisfied.
Loong Cafe
This one is nearby the famous Kwai Chai Hong at Petaling Street, it has its front entrance as well as back entrance/exit.
Loong Cafe is situated at address
135G, Jalan Petaling, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, famous for its Hong Kong style eateries and choices, as well as famous for its herbal roasted duck and BBQ pork belly.
Since it was an odd hour at 4pm, there was not any crowd, only three tables were occupied including ours.
Ambience and Menu
The menu was bombastic, ranging from dimsum to polo buns, to varieties of sandwiches and rice dishes and noodles dishes. Many arrays of special drinks too. I think this is very suitable for big group gathering. The place was cosy, spacious and super bright, clean and neat.
Food & Drinks
Since we just wanted extra meat, we chose a set called 'Combination of two roasted meat' and we chose roasted duck and BBQ pork belly. You could even choose your part of meat, we chose breast duck meat and fat part of pork belly.
We were literally blown away. The herbal roasted duck was so delicious, soft juicy meat, even me with braces could bite it easily, like melting in my mouth, fragrant herbal taste yet not too strong till covering the duck meat taste. Superb! Every bite was heavenly.
The barbecued pork belly was another mind-blowing again. Perfectly barbecued, a good combination of meat and fat part, soft, well coated with sweet honey char siu sauce. Veryyyyy delicious. We wanted more but we couldn't bring ourselves to pay more. And we called it enough! Next time we wanted to bring our parents here.
Coffee was smooth and fragrant local coffee bean. Just nice amount of sweetness. We shared a cup and was fully satisfied.
This was really a gem at Petaling Street. If you are a lover of roasted duck and BBQ pork belly, do make a visit here. We did not try the crispy roasted pork belly. There will be definitely next visit!
