It's actually my first time visiting a strawberry farm here in Cebu City. I've experienced strawberry picking in Baguio City somewhere in the Northern part of the Philippines but I've had no idea that there's already in Cebu. The mini strawberry farm is located at Brgy. Loay, Toledo Cebu.I believe there's another famous strawberry farm in Toledo but this one is a family owned farm with newly grown strawberries in the backyard. They're selling it for 500 pesos(almost 9 US Dollars) per pot,
The place is just on the way to the famous Lake Pingganon where we were actually heading to. I was just wondering how they're able to maintain and grow the strawberries knowing that the place isn't actually too cold or even hotter sometimes but the house owner mentioned that strawberries actually need the heat of the sun for six hours so it's going to survive since it's pretty cold at night in the area.
The owners are very friendly too. They'll guide you how to grow the strawberries at your house. If you are planning to visit the place you can take the route from Tabunok, Cebu then alight off under the skyway and you'll see motorbikes for hire going to Brgy. Loay Toledo. You can simply tell the drivers to drop you off at Lake Bensis.
The fare costs 200 pesos (4 US Dollar) per person one way but expect that they'll ask you for an additional 1 US dollar going back since they'll wait for you're done with your activities and there's no passenger on their way back.
That's basically it, I hope you liked this episode and I hope to interact with you in the comment section below. Everyone's glad to hear the stories of yours!
