After a surprising and emotional hike to Mt. Batur volcano in Bali (see [this post](this post) to know what I mean ;)), it was time to relax. Our group went to the natural hot springs pools that are located just by the foot of the volcano, near the Batur caldera lake.
The entrance fee is, if I remember correctly, 250K Rupiah (or something around that), which is quite a lot considering how cheap Bali generally is. But it is worth it: you get a towel and a locker, and a welcome drink (water or juice) when you arrive. You can then spend even a whole day there so, in the end, it's not that much.
There are multiple pools filled with naturally hot water, and each pool has a different temperature. The pool closest to the lake has the coldest water - just like a regular pool. Then you can start with around 35 degrees and go higher with temperature in different pools and see which one fits you the most.
I stuck with the "coldest" of the hot ones: it had around 35 degrees, and it was a temperature that was just perfect. If I had enough time, I would stay for much longer as this place was very calm and very pleasant, and I highly recommend visiting it when you hike Mt. Batur. Although if you're climbing at night with the plan of seeing the sunrise, you should know that the pools can be much busier as it's the main time to visit the area.
