This week, we celebrated a very special birthday in our household. Our beloved nanny, who has been a part of our family for four wonderful years, marked another year of her life. She's been with us since our daughter was just 11 days old, and her care and love have been invaluable. To show our appreciation, we organized a simple yet heartfelt dinner at Coffee Madness Cafe, a cozy spot just a few minutes away from our home.
Our celebration was intimate, shared with our closest neighbor from the subdivision. The atmosphere at Coffee Madness Cafe was warm and inviting, perfect for our small gathering. The evening was filled with laughter, delicious food, and cherished moments.
We decided on a variety of dishes to please everyone's palate. For starters, we had two kinds of pizza: Hawaiian, with its classic ham and pineapple combination, and a more adventurous anchovies pizza, which was a hit with the adults. For the kids, Zadie and Sky, we ordered a generous serving of fries that they eagerly enjoyed.
Our main courses included two delightful pasta dishes. The seafood pasta in olive oil was a refreshing choice, light and flavorful, while the creamy carbonara provided a rich and satisfying contrast.
To quench our thirst, we indulged in refreshing watermelon and strawberry shakes. The vibrant colors and fresh flavors of the shakes added a fun touch to our meal.
No celebration is complete without dessert, and for this special occasion, we treated ourselves to affogato. The delightful combination of hot espresso poured over cold, creamy ice cream was the perfect ending to our meal.
This simple birthday celebration was more than just a dinner; it was a heartfelt expression of our gratitude and love for someone who means so much to our family. Our nanny has been a pillar of support and affection, and celebrating her special day was a way to show how much we appreciate everything she does.
